Bates- Paint Rollers, 4 inch Paint Roller with 10 Covers, Wall Painting Tool

These do a nice job. They don't shed on your walls. They hold the paint/ stain well. They worked equally well on interior walls with satin latex, and on exterior stain on a boat dock. Cheap enough to toss after use.

That having been said, I am still very honest about my reviews and try to help people considering buying these things, and try to write reviews in a way that helps me when I'm looking to buy (or avoid) certain products.****These are super handy! I have received many, many, many painting tools from Bates Choice to test out and give feedback on, and this is yet another one of their offerings that I really like. A friend of mine and I make large wooden Bigfoot cutouts out of plywood, and these are great for rolling paint on the long straight-ish edges. I've used these to paint the entire surface just to see how they'd do, and the rollers hold an impressive amount of paint and can cover a pretty good-sized area with each paint reload. It includes a ridiculous number of refill rollers, but they're so easy to clean that I reuse the same ones several times. The handle itself does a good job of holding the roller on and allows the roller to rotate smoothly.I haven't tried them for this, but I think a majority of people who'd consider buying a smaller roller are using it for a small section of repaired drywall. This roller leave a smoother surface than a paintbrush does, and it'd be just the tool for the job.

Works good for the projects that I bought it for, small areas and even did a good job on the larger wall surface.

4 inch paint roller covers are a nice lower nap which are great for most wall projects. Comes with the roller handle so you are all set to go. Worked great and easy to use. You can clean the roller cover or just toss them. Great size for working in tighter areas, but where you still want to use a roller, rather than a brush.

Needed a small roller for some touch-up work and tight spots, and this Bates set caught my eye 'cause, wow, that's a lot of roller covers for the price. Figured why not?Well, it puts paint on the surface, so check that box. The 4-inch size is definitely handy for trim or small projects where a big roller is just overkill. The handle feels… like basic plastic, but it held the roller okay.Now, the reason for the solid "meh" 3 stars? These little roller covers like to shed. Not like a crazy blizzard of fuzz, but enough that I was definitely picking little linty bits out of my nice smooth paint job here and there. Kinda annoying when you're trying to get things looking sharp. The finish they leave is okay, maybe not the smoothest ever, but passable for basic jobs.Think of these covers as pretty much disposable – use 'em once and toss 'em. They don't seem built to last or clean up well, but with so many in the pack, maybe that's the point.So, yeah. 3 stars. Good value if you need a bunch of small rollers for rougher work or quick projects and don't mind a bit of fuzz patrol. Just don't expect a flawless, professional finish without some extra attention. It's decent, not amazing. It's… fine.

Was surprised how nice these mini rollers were when I got them. Very good quality and at a very affordable price. They did extremely well on my paint project.
