Great challenge to get back to what really counts..
I greatly enjoyed this book.. For some time now, I have been on a journey of breaking away from the societal plan for people's lives... Retired and learning to do Whatever makes ME Happy has become a way of life but it has not been an easy break. I realize that we have been trained to think a certain way, and this book definitely challenges that way of thought... Easy to read and definitely challenging... Scott, if you read this review, please check my book out, call Run to the river... Would love to know what you think and read your review on my book....Jim Girouard...

Highly impactful/ inspiring…
This book is truly amazing im so very grateful for Scott’s perspective I believe this book can change lives!! I read it in one sitting and will definitely be reading it over again it encourages readers to stay true to their dreams whatever that looks like for them and helps readers to remember the childlike wonder of what life was like before all of societal standards and how nature can be our greatest teacher.

Easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given to a book!
This book is a definite must read! Recently finished it and felt so inspired by Scott’s words. This book helps you realize so many things about the world and how possible it is to travel and get out and see the world without having to be rich. I am 20 years young and this book has inspired me to leave my hometown, find my happiness that has been inside of me all along and finally start living life for myself!

Very good, a bit extreme in some ideas but good to choose what you need.

Everyone needs to read this book. Literally everyone.
I loved this book more than I thought I would. This is the first review I have ever left on a book, I have to help get word out about it. It is a quick read, 174 pages with big font. I finished it in 2 sittings. This book brings a perspective on life that isn’t talked about nearly enough- living your dreams and working around them. I am walking away from this book feeling inspired to do anything I want with my life.I originally bought this book because I saw a TikTok with paragraphs in this book talking about not sticking to the walls of political parties. Because when we stick too hard, we become lopsided. We label and degrade our fellow Americans so aggressively that we burn bridges. As a young woman in a family with extremely intense political views, I was raised to think the other party was out to ruin my life. That they were evil and vile and destroying our country. It took me some growing up and meeting new people of that opposite party to see that they aren’t the things I was raised to think they were. We are all just people, trying to do what we think is best.My point being, it was so beautiful to get the perspective that both sides need each other. We need both sides in order to thrive, yet we are always trying to find ways to demonize the other side.Thats why I bought it. And on top of getting that, I learned about a way of life I wish was thought in classrooms. Please, read this book. For yourself, and for every other person on this earth. You won’t be disappointed!

An essential book for anyone of all ages
I originally saw this book on TikTok and there were lot of comments saying amazing things about this book. I really wanted to see what the hype was about, so I decided to purchase it. After finishing the book in less than 2 days, I realized what the hype was all about. One of Scott major points in his books is that it’s never too late to do anything, which really resonates with me as someone who struggles with what I want to do with my life. This is one of the best books I have ever read and one of my absolute favorites. I loved this book so much a few days later I went back on Amazon and bought the rest of his books! I have a hard time finding books that interest me and make me actually want to read them, so this says a lot. One thing that I love most is the spacing between the lines. As a person with ADHD and someone who has a hard time reading, I find that this book is very easy to follow along and focus on. I also love the short yet detailed chapters. I reached out to Scott yesterday and told him how much of a fan I am. He is one of the sweetest, most kind, open minded authors I’ve ever reached out to. I love following along Scott’s journey and can’t wait to see what’s next. All of that being said, I am beyond pleased with my purchase!Side note: Scotts instagram is full of beautiful scenic pictures of all the places he goes. I highly suggest giving him a follow on there if you have instagram!

Different than I thought
I saw this book on TikTok, and I thought it would be a self help book, but instead I got a book about a guy writing about his life and working part time. The book isn’t bad though, but the part about money not being the goal while he also talks about being able to afford skiing equipment and such, confused me and made me want to stop reading. The reason you are able to afford your camper van and house was all BECAUSE of money, the reason you can afford to sell everything and live the life you want is from the comfort of money. The reason you even work is because you need money, is it not? I like some of the things he says in this book but most of the time he contradicts himself and tells his audience that the key to living your life is not doing something that he is actively doing. This is just the classic “white privileged man” telling the world that “you can do whatever I’m doing” book.
