Q: Can you buy replacement spigot should it fail?

Yes, a stainless steel spigot runs about 12$-15$ on Amazon. I've had mine for months and it works great.

Q: Does the metal spigot alter or affect the taste when making vinegar?

I have not detected this in my vinegar batches. I think the tap material is non-reactive.

Q: Has anyone else developed cracks in their crock? Mine has sprouted a web of black thin lines, even though i have it sitting on a kitchen towel. Help!
