Works Great!! I have a 10 foot umbrella that blows around like a contortionist and Mik Jagger all in one and this platform holds it firmly to the ground. My suggestion is take a water bottle and cut the bottom off. Put the bottle opening in the platform container and spoon in sand until it’s filled. Sounds daunting but it doesn’t take that long and then you are done!

This base was more impressive than I thought it would be. These were easy to fill, easy to move, and holds up our umbrella as intended. I think what impressed me the most was that we have only had to fill it with water once since putting together. And that was almost a year ago. To give some context, we live in Reno and the summer temps can get in the 100s. I thought the water would've evaporated quickly, but it didn't. Highly recommend!

I needed a base to hold my offset patio umbrella. Had been using concrete blocks but they are a pain when moving the umbrella. This base came nicely packaged. I used water to fill these up. You can use sand to make them heavier. I will have to remember to empty the water out before winter. Don't want the water to freeze and break the bases. This base fit well around my umbrella base. The base kit comes with some metal bars to lock the bases together over the umbrella base. My umbrella base is a tad wider so these bars don't fit.When filling these up with water, the caps that screw on were hard to get tight. I first tried hand tightening them. Then tried hand tightening using a towel for a better grip. Still leaked. I finally used a channel lock style pliers to tighten the caps more. That did the trick, no leaks. If you have to do this, try not to overtighten the caps and cause damage to them.

Good price, easy setup, extremely stable. Like that they are flat so you can put stuff on top of them and not loose floor space.

I ordered this product because I ordered the Umbrella and there was no mention of buying the base that is sold separately. After some searching, I found this matching base. The base description, states it is a “4-Piece Umbrella Base Outdoor Umbrella Stand, Filled with Water or Sand”. I filled the bases up with water and screwed the caps on. Immediately the bases start leaking water all over my deck. I even tried re-screwing the cap several times thinking it was not on properly; however, every time, the bases continued to leak at the spout. I wrote Yaheetech and never heard back. I even had Amazon reach out to Yaheetech and still no response. I had to work through Amazon and get a replacement sent out and drive to UPS to return the base. After waiting another week, the replacement base arrived. I unpacked them and filled again with water. Immediately the bases started leaking again. Obviously the bases are not made well and cannot take water. If you want to even use this product you need to buy sand bags and tediously fill with a funnel. A lot of work involved this product. Yaheetech is doing it's customers a disservice not including the base with the Umbrella and not responding to complaints.

Really only writing a review cause I couldn't find the info I needed and hints around were conflicting. I bought this for a purpleleaf 10x10 cantilever umbrella and it fits perfectly. Takes a little effort to get the clips in but it needs to be very tight to be effective. I filled it with sand so I can't speak to it water tightness. Also when filling with sand a second person would be really useful. Outside of that my umbrella is rock solid and I'm glad I chose this base especially at the price point
