It is packed in an air tight container and once opened can be closed with the additional plastic cap provided. Sweet ginger is tasty and soft (not too dry). I bought this to add with the dry fruit mix preparation for plum cake. While grinding in a mixer, the smell of ginger filled the kitchen.One of the containers I am using as mouth freshener after meals. It's very tasty and soft while chewing.
