Excellent monitor for setting up images for printing.
All I had hoped for. Built in calibration with excellent screen image to print from an Epson stylus Pro 3880. Easy to set the white point from the on screen calibration. I run it as a second display off an iMac retina which is very difficult to calibrate and gives inconsistent prints (usually too dark). Haven't used the iMac display since I hooked it up.

AMAAZING monitor, black level and constrast are stellar, still not sure if the panel it's true 10bit of 8bit with FCR but in each case it works wonders, very accurate.

Eizo makes great monitors. This 2420 is very easy to calibrate ...
I bought this monitor to replace an older Eizo Color Edge CG210. Eizo makes great monitors. This 2420 is very easy to calibrate for color, easy to set up and is a nice size. I would have given it 5 stars but as a MacBook Pro user, I had such problems with getting a cord. I had spoken to customer service at Eizo before buying the monitor and asked if it had a correct cord for the new Macs and I was told yes. I got the monitor and there was no cord for USB-C, thunderbolt only the mini display for older MacBooks. These cords can be bought online but I needed to use the monitor right away and had to find a cord at Office Depot. First cord I got did not work but the 2nd did. Eizo recommends either J5create or StarTech USB-C to DisplayPort / DVI connections. You can not use an adapter, this monitor must be plugged in with a single cord connection. I hope my experience will save others time so don't forget to buy a cord when you buy the monitor if you are using a new Macbook Pro.

Best
My absolute favorite monitor. While very expensive when compared to consumer-grade monitors, they are extremely reliable and their builtin color management software is top notch. For non-HDR HD work, I'd say this is perfect. Some designers may miss the 4K, and some colorists may miss the HDR, but for people like me who don't exceed HD resolutions but still need good color fidelity this gets my full recommendation.

Broken Software, Nonexistent tech support
TLDR If you have any issues with this $1K+ monitor, don't expect any tech support.Certain colors are displaying extremely off gamut after calibrating with their proprietary software. After several contacts to their support team, who did initially seem to have some good ideas (try repairing profile via colorsync for example), they went dark for several weeks. I followed up with them, they asked for much more info (how many hours has the monitor run for, what software version etc. etc.) After responding to that I got this message:"This problem you are experiencing has to do with your Operating System or Adobe. If our ColorNavigator software is allowing you to create profiles then our monitor is working fine."This is of course doubly annoying because if that truly were the case, why did we spend so much time troubleshooting, asking me how many hours the monitor had logged, what kind of cable I was using, version of the software etc.On top of that, in previous communications I had clarified TWICE that the issue was both in and outside of Adobe products. So somehow Adobe is causing my monitor to not function in say, my Spotify app? (which I had forwarded screenshots showing the issue)Finally, I can create profiles with i1Sync that work just fine on this operating system and Adobe. At this point I'm just giving up. I will probably use this monitor with i1sync for as long as I can, but I certainly can't imagine ever making an Eizo purchase again. With so many wonderful monitors on the market (here's looking at BenQ....), I would have hoped that the premium price paid for a monitor that is *very* similar technically to others on the market that are much less expensive would also mean professional level technical support. I'm quite bummed that wasn't the case.
