I use this pot every night.
Update: realized my review posted to several sizes. Still love this pot- was looking at another size when I saw my own review. The dimensions are for the 6.5/7qt pot I purchased. Was listed as 7qts when I purchased it. Changed to 6.5 now. 7 qts would take it to the very brim. Only regret is not spending a bit more and getting a set. Amazon has them for $115.Excellent pot. Curved bottom makes it easy to clean. Perfect size. Big enough for 6 chicken breasts but still fits in sink. The "heavy bottomed" part that sits on burner is 8"- then it gently curves outward for an overall exterior width of 12". Inside dimension is 11.5"I accidentally left it empty on high for an hour. No damage at all.Picture shows the 6.5 qt in back left. The rest are the set I purchased for $115.

My new favorite pan
I ordered this after reading some of the other reviews, and after my largest pan separated at the seams. This is well designed, without the seam flaws of my old pan. It also holds a TON, which I love. The bottom is rough, as other reviewers mentioned, so if you have a glass-topped stove, you might want to scrub with steel wool prior to use. It works beautifully, and quickly solves the problem. This pan conducts heat evenly, cleans easily, and is simply beautiful.

WONDERFUL!
Permanently stained the inside the first time that i used it. it is HUGE (16qt), and i wish i had gotten one that was at least 6 inches narrower and 3 inches shorter, but it has been a wonderful cooking companion. Honestly, nothing sticks, but it did LIGHTLY stain when used to make a dark chocolate cake in the oven. it is VERY heavy, especially when half to near full, and makes me worried it will break my glass fridge shelf from weight alone. it has not, though. The outside is beautiful, and truly does not stain, but the inside stained a little near the top. i honestly do not mind this; it is still a good cooking companion. it should be noted that you must raise the cooking temperature 50 degrees with increased time, or 100 degrees to achieve the same results. it may take more heat and time to achieve desired results, but it doesn't burn anything, ever, and keeps things beautifully and deliciously moist. Wonderful for making complex broths that can be used for flavoring other things!i used it for cake, soup, vegetables, squash, chicken, RICE, and more (in that order - the rice was flavored by all the former - except cake -, and it was the best i have ever made!), and it is definitely dependable. if you want to use it to slow cook bird, load it up, make sure there is a pool of basting in the pot, and set it to 250 degrees (bird is 180 internal temp - use thermometer). You can come back to it like a crock-pot with no worries, and more flavor. However, i would recommend 2-4 hours rather than 4-8 (crock-pot), although it can manage UP-TO 6 hours as long as that water is an inch deep or more (it will not evaporate away as with many other cookwares, but it may get absorbed, depending on what you're cooking), temp is no higher than 250 -- 200 deg can be used if you are planning on waiting 4+ hours on a medium meal, or 6+ on a large one.Again, this if for the 16 QUART - which is HUGE. it holds as much as my stockpot, it's just wide rather than tall, and debatably heavier when full. For it to fit in the oven, at all, i have to use the bottom wrack, and it bends a little when the pot is completely full with rice and water.

Nice & Big😀
Works well for large volume of food. due to size it may cook more quickly in oven. Nice pot.

Hardly worth it.
Everything sticks badly even when I cook with oil. Even on very low heat everything shreds to pieces because of the sticking.I have reserved using this pot to only prepare soups.

Induction No !
Beware. My pot is not induction capable. I didn’t use it right away. I should have tested It sooner. $90 down the drain for me. Expensive Lesson. One of the questions that other buyers answered was that it was induction ready. NOT!

Good solid bottom that browned the meat on the stovetop ...
Good solid bottom that browned the meat on the stovetop beautifully. It's pretty huge, and with one rack removed it just was able to fit in my oven. If you have a large oven, it will give you plenty of room to slow cook for a houseful of people. The lid rests on an inside groove, so it's a firm but not tight fit and no steam leaks out the side. My hasenpfeffer was perfect.
