Pimpernel Postcard Sketches Placemats - Set of 4 - Cork Backed, Easy to Clean Placemats with Vintage Sketches Design, Ideal for Dining, Table Protection, Durable, & Stylish

This is my second purchase of these placemats; the first one was three years ago. They are still in great shape, and they have not stained or ripped. They have held up better than an expensive pair purchased from a well known kitchen store that are covered in stains and ripped.

These placemats are heavy duty and excellent quality. They have cork backing, and the patterns look wonderful on my black painted table. They are very easy to wipe clean, and the pattern has some varied colors on the background, so it doesn't show every tiny speck of dirt. My kids love the different patterns, and the various cities and countries portrayed have sparked geography and culture discussions during dinner time.

These placemats are stylish and match my home decor. Just wipe clean and heat tolerant. There is a grease stain that will not come off but cannot tell because it blends in with the vintage art design. I bought my mother the rooster placemats and she uses them everyday and still look new.

I'm from Europe and love these Place Mats. I have been to all these Cities. Also a good conversation piece.

I like these vs cloth. I leave them out daily and can just wipe them off to clean as needed.

This do have an odor as mentioned in other reviews. I opened outside, wiped both sides with Clorox wipe, let air out for a few hours. Then I sprayed Febreeze on the cork. Let dry for about an hour. Bad smell is gone. These are really nice! Both my plate and glass fit on the mat.
