Poorly packaged but seems good
The product is what I expected and works well. It was packed loose in a box twice the size of the canister, with a single sheet of warapping paper which it had fallen out of. After I had unscrewed the lid and pulled out the bung, I noticed a rubber gasket in the box. Wether it fell out the lid, or was separate, I dont know. I rinsed everything as per instructions, and had no problem refitting the gasket in the lid. I only had 250g of fresh beans, fills about 1/3rd of the can. Had no problem using the bung that low down, though it does end up at an angle, but seems to be airtight as intended. It seems to be a good robust item, fortunatley not damaged in poor packaging. I did wonder if it was a previously returned item, due to the lack of its own box and loose packing in the delivery box, it had its label attached and instruction card etc inside the can, but seems ok so Im using it. Using it indoors at present, might be using it in my campervan later on.

Solid Container, Sub-par Air Displacement Mechanism
I've had this container for a little while now and have gone through two batches of coffee beans. If I was to rate just the container and not the air displacement mechanism (the puck), I would give it 5 stars, it's a solid well-built metal container that creates a good seal when the lid is screwed on.The problem with this container is the mechanism used to displace air which has enough wiggle room to be easily placed unevenly. Further, when you flip the handle to compress it, unless you apply equal force on at least two locations, it's very easy to end up with a very uneven disc which will then provide very little resistance and probably allow leakage. This means you'll need both hands or some finger contortion to properly place the puck, a process that gets even more difficult the lower you have to place the device. If you have larger hands, don't even bother.Around the same time I bought this, I bought a Planetary Design Airscape container -- something with a similar concept except they use a circular disc that is designed to create a seal automatically and then push out the air. After having used both, I would not have bought this MiiR container. One thing I will note again, is that this MiiR container, displacement mechanism aside, is solid and will probably be usable for a very long time as a container whereas other containers might have gasket or seal failures from wear over time.
