Good product. Fits well, feels good, and seems much sturdier than the first gen PS4 controller touch pads.If you got a PS4 around launch, odds are the rubber is worn and peeling off the sticks. These are put together differently and won't peel. They seem a lot like the sticks on newer models.Installation is not super-easy, but isn't difficult. It requires a very small phillips screwdriver (not included), but otherwise no particular tools or skills. You have to tear down the controller a bit to get to the sticks, so watch a youtube video of it first. As long as you don't lose any screws or small parts, you're probably not going to break anything. It is possible to dislodge the trigger contacts and end up with an unresponsive trigger, so be sure to double check that before you screw it back together.If you have a newer PS4 controller, these don't offer any kind of meaningful upgrade. They're strictly for repair. But they do the trick, and it was a lot cheaper than buying a new controller.

They work. I stalling them is a pain in the a$$ but I'm getting better at it. I mean if the dog would quit chewing them, I wouldn't have to be proficient. Is what it is, but they aren't as big nor as comfortable as the original ps3 controller knobs, but they work.

I couldn’t be happier with these! About a year ago the thumb sticks on both of our PS4 controls started peeling. I ordered two sets of the aluminum replacement buttons and sticks and installed them. They worked alright and I didn’t have to worry about peeling so I was happy. However my kids hated them and when they had friends over to play the didn’t like the aluminum sticks either. I decided to give these a try because the quality looked decent and the price was great. I had read other reviews about the slots not being drilled out correctly but i didn’t encounter that issue with any of the 10 sticks. They appear to be identical to factory. I will update later down the road as to their durability but for now I highly recommend them.

The spherical portion at the base seems thicker than OG and ever so slightly larger in Diameter as well. I feel them scrapping against the lid and it’s introduced an annoying drift issue. Every time I use the right analog stick now, it can potentially hang do to the lip scrapping on the lid of the controller and getting stuck. A small tap frees it and stops the drift. Very annoying. I tried 3 different sticks from the batch. All 3 still had the same issue. Gave up replacing them and just decided to live with the drift and the annoying scrapping noises. Just FYI, this was on OG day-one, old style PS4 controller. I don’t know if this is still an issue on the newer controllers or not. But the newer controllers, I’ve never had the rubber peel off the analog sticks myself, so I don’t see why they would need replacement. Personally, I just had this old controller laying around and wanted to refresh to use on a new PC laptop. A little disappointed that it introduced more problems than fixed.

Save your money and buy OEM sticks, these have been milled out by a monkey and as such are very loose and will literally fall off if you flip the controller upside down when reassembling. I have ghetto rigged it on using tape but it is definitely not worth the money.

My thumbsticks got pretty worn out after using them for a year and a half. Figured itd be worth trying to put some new thumbsticks on and man is it worth it. Makes it feel like you have a new controller. Just make sure you have a small enough screwdriver to take apart the controller and also be warned, opening up your controller voids any warranty you have on the controller. Mine was old anyways so I didnt care about opening it up. Also gives you a good chance to clean and the nastiness that gets inbetween the cracks of the controller. Highly recommend these thumbsticks, make sure you follow a video on how to do it!
