Taste like it was made from scratch
This is the best mix ever! You add water it dissolves quickly. And taste amazing, very close to making it from scratch.

It is a great add to iced coffee or smoothies
It is a good deal if you like their horchata. I am not the biggest fan of any horchata mix when it comes to drinking it as horchata, but I do like this as both an iced coffee creamer and for making smoothies.

It does not taste like it was made from scratch. Has a weird metal aftertaste.
I'm not mexican, but I've been to mexican parties before, and anyone who says that this mix taste like actual horchata has got it esquierda. It's not a bad mix, and for the price you bet your sweet pattooty I'll take the deal, but I think that's why its generally a lot cheaper than most other horchata mixes. To give you an accurate measurement, Its 3tsp per serving, I'm using a tablespoon and I did about 5 tablespoons for roughly 25 ounces of water. All in all, the horchata to water ratio is about where it needs to be to get the horchata flavor. It tastes like horchata. Thats a plus. Does it taste authentic? No. It lacks the soft of velvety all encompassing creamy cinnamon flavor that comes with horchata. Granted I'm not using milk so I get that, but its also (for the ratio) not as sweet as it could be. 3Tsp's alone is 21grams of sugar, I did about 5 tablespoons so we're looking in the ballpark of around 40 - 55 total mix in grams, so somewhere ballpark of about 39 - 45 grams of sugar. There's about 10grams more sugar in a Soda drink, yet it doesn't quite compare and maybe an extra 10-12 grams of sugar might do the trick but I doubt it.I mean its got aspertame in it, which is a chemical sweetener, in theory should be just as sweet if not sweeter. Also it's actually got a ton of additives that I didn't realize it had. Like, looking on the store site for the mix, theres not a single picture that shows the "Ingredients" of the mix. It just says Horchata mix, essentially like "Made with love". I doubt anyone's going to read this far down the review anyway. I'm still going to drink it to get my money's worth, and I doubt there's anything severly wrong about the ingredients in the power. What caught my eye was that it contains "Titanium Dioxide". I found it interesting I was like "oh snap there's metal in this food" but its actually a common substance found in Sun Lotion that helps keep the lotion keep that creamy, white texture. Further into it shows that there is little to no known side-effect of ingesting the ingredient, but it is worth noting. I mean who cares, I doubt theres a huge population of "low-income immigrant families" that are reading labels in heavily broken english saying "Titanium is good for bowl movement".

Easy to make. Great tasting drink.
Very easy to make at home without all the multi steps. Tastes like what you get out of those dispensers at restaurants. Not too see or thick.

Tastes alright, but not as good as what you'd get at a Mexican restaurant
Has a bit of a different taste than I was expecting. It's not bad, but I probably wouldn't order this again.

The little "black bits" floating around, that's called cinnamon the spice (not bugs).
So let me start off by saying that I am 100% Colombian and horchata is my thing.I just received mine today and I made some real quick and water honestly I was surprised that how good it came out very refreshing almost tastes as if it was homemade. I imagine making it with milk will make it thicker and creamier.I do want to State something though there are some people at least one reviewer that mentioned there are black bits floating around in his horchata and he believes they are bugs. It is obvious to anybody that knows anything about horchata that this individual never adds seasoning to his food because those little black bits are actually cinnamon. The cinnamon is more than likely to arrived directly from cinnamon sticks as opposed to adding pulverize cinnamon which is why no matter your best efforts it will never 100% mix into the drink and you will be left with little speckles of something in your drink I promise you those little speckles are just cinnamon.

Aftertaste
It's ok, it has a slight funny aftertaste. Would probably be better with some rum in it, but just enough aftertaste the kids are big fans.
