Real Life Clean Eating
LOVE this book! The author is passionate about clean eating but has both feet on terra firma in the real world. Her tone is not preachy but instructive and enthusiastic. I love how wholewheat tortillas in moderation are not demonized for example. As she correctly points out, Clean Eating is NOT about deprivation; it's about making intelligent choices about what you choose to fuel your body with. I started dog-earing recipes as I initially skimmed the book and quickly realized pretty much ALL the recipes would be dog-eared. At the beginning of each chapter she outlines a simple "How-To" formula that invites the reader to create their own recipes as well. I love that there are plug and play hit the ground running recipes to get you started but also appreciate the emphasis on being creative and coming up with super simple recipes that suit your individual taste as well. Excellent and useful book - I'm planning next week's meal prep from ideas gleaned just yesterday! Love it!

Many recipes, practical list, healthy dessert bowls recipes
The recipes are very tasty and there are a lot of them, and at the beginning of each section (breakfast, lunch, etc. ) there is a useful scheme "how to build a (for example BREAKFAST) bowl".The only thing I disliked is that there are very less pictures.I liked that there is a "dessert bowl" chapter, because in similar books there are no dessert recipes. Of course also the dessert bowls recipes are healthy!

Simple Real Food
This is the food I want to eat! Everything is fresh, beautiful, and vibrant. The recipes are quick and uncomplicated, and for the most part, the ingredients are simple everyday grocery store items. A while back I bought a different "bowl" cookbook and ended up returning it because all the recipes were ridiculously froufrou and expensive. Not so with this book! I will say that my kids (I have four, all young) haven't been very interested in anything I've made from this book except for the smoothie bowls, which they've enjoyed. So I mostly make these recipes for my lunches or sometimes for my dinner when I don't want to eat what I'm making for the kids. Several recipes call for spiralizing vegetables; I don't own a spiralizer and don't plan on purchasing one, and I don't feel ripped off or anything for not being able to make all the recipes. If you do own one, you'll have all the more fun with this book. Some reviewers have complained about the lack of pictures...and yeah, more pictures would have made the book sexier, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. The recipes are straightforward enough that I don't need much help visualising what they should look like. I have had this book for a month and have so far made: Avocado and Kale Smoothie Bowl; Chunky Monkey Smoothie Bowl; Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie Bowl; Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl; Blueberry Chia Jam and Oatmeal Breakfast Bowl; Warm Green Breakfast Bowl; Mango, Chicken, and Avocado Bowl; Deconstructed Spring Roll Noodle Bowl; and Sweet & Spicy Chicken Noodle Bowl. Most of them were wonderful. Some I won't make again, just because of personal preference issues. But it's nice to have another source for simple, healthful, real-food meal ideas. Thank you Kenzie!

Easy, quick and healthy recipes
I immediately started using this book and we had the five-minute breakfast bowl the very next morning. The recipe was clear and very simple to prepare and tasted amazing. I look forward to preparing the grain bowls for lunches and quick dinners during the work week and will be testing out the slow cooker recipes as well.

Like the recipes, no pictures
This book has some great recipes. I love the idea of making bowls as they are quite convenient to take to work for breakfast and lunch. I am excited to try some of the smoothie bowls for breakfast. The burrito bowl makes a great lunch. This has definitely given me more ideas for making healthier meals. One complaint I have is that it is lacking pictures. When I buy a cookbook, I enjoy seeing the pictures of what I am going to make. Otherwise it is a great book for the seemingly popular trend of bowls.

The most practical guide to healthy eating.
With the recent proliferation of "Bowl" books, it is hard to discern which book is most practical and valuable to everyday recipes and food preparation. I have recently joined the bandwagon to healthier eating and have found this book to be the most valuable and the one I turn to when exploring the various recipes offered. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is tired reading ingredients on prepared foods that no one can untangle.

but great recipes that are simple and don't require unusual ingredients
Not a lot of pics, but great recipes that are simple and don't require unusual ingredients. Also good options for substituting ingredients and a lot of variety!
