Fantastic Thunderbolt 4 hub, works great with 2 displays and another hub
I wanted a fast Thunderbolt 4 hub that allowed for two USB-C displays and other USB-A/C ports. But I didn't want to spend over $100 for one. Most of the Thunderbolt 4 hubs are indeed much more than this one. Since I had other hubs already that I really didn't need Thunderbolt 4 on for additional USB-A ports, I decided to get this Plugable hub and plug my two mini monitors into it and one of my other USB 3.2 hubs into the remaining USB-C port. Everything works flawlessly, and I didn't have to break the bank. This is a well-made aluminum hub with its own power supply. It solved my problems well.

reliable, plenty of power, not too hot, love it
Works great, charges my laptop, I use an external hifi audio DAC that gets power from usb-c and this powers that adequately, too, which is useful. Reliable, I never have to power cycle it or anything, it just works.

A nice bundle but with some drawbacks.
As with all things USB-C and Thunderbolt related the varying capabilities between your computer(s), dock, and devices will mean that almost nothing can be a silver bullet. That said, this little device is very close in a sleek package with the added touch of a USB-C to HDMI adapter. The Good- Includes a USB-C to HDMI adapter which is compatible with the dock ports (see below). But this does not make up for the $40 price difference.- If you have Thunderbolt 3 or USB/Thunderbolt 4 this will mostly likely connect as many devices as your computer can support*. Unique to this type of hub/dock is the support for multiple extended displays for Mac computers.- Connected displays do not need to be Thunderbolt which means passive adapters (such as a Type-C to HDMI or DisplayPort dongles) are supported - even for multiple extended displays on Mac computers.- Metal body gives the dock a premium feel.- Website gives detailed specs and compatibility details.Be Aware (if this is the right device for you these won't be a big deal)- This is only a USB Hub with Charging, you get no other dock features such as a network or audio connections.- 60W charging for the upstream computer is fairly standard for this type of device, but could be higher.- Downstream devices support 15W (the minimum for USB-C & Thunderbolt) as is common with such hubs.- There are no mounting options for the dock (as is common).- This uses an external 20V power adapter with a barrel plug. This adapter is bigger than the dock itself.- The dock cannot be powered by the upstream computer or any devices, it must have power from the 20V barrel plug. The Bad- Price is hovering around $40 more than similar docks.- This device does not provide a multi-stream connection for legacy USB-C devices (i.e. non-Thunderbolt USB 3). This means that when using DP-ALT mode only one monitor can be connected regardless of the resolution or your devices support*. Note that this is common for all devices of this type (since they are likely using the same chips internally), but since it is a common functionality in other USB-C docks I consider this a negative.- Of the docks of a similar size this is slightly thicker and has an odd curve to its top and bottom side.- Lacks any USB-A port as is common in all other docks of a similar type and size.

Works as expected
Solved a problem for a Blackmagic adapter that wouldn’t work on USB 3.1 and required Thunderbolt.

USB-C Power Adapter Would Make this a 5 Star Review
Great Thunderbolt 4 hub, I almost returned it because of the bulky heavy power supply. I gave it to my sister for her home setup.Plugable, I am requesting that the power supply be changed to a USB-C power supply.I am also requesting Magnetic USB-C connections for faster setup and disconnection.I travel a lot and have a laptop extender. I do not want to carry extra heavy, bulky items. If I were you, I would switch all your products to USB-C as it should become the power and charging standard for all devices. In all fairness, this is an excellent product if it stays in one place all the time.

EDIT to 1 Star - Inconsistent! Doesn't play well with others
EDIT:After no contact from the manufacturer of this, I am forced to blacklist them and inform others to steer clear of all things made by Plugable!Original Post:This is a great, compact, Thunderbolt 4 unit. When it works. It's not very convenient, or acceptable, to have fiddle for 10 minutes every morning so it will extend to two other monitors. But, hey, if you like to fiddle, go for it.When it works, it works great, but playing with the plugs and settings is getting old. And wouldn't you know it, the return window closed 3 days ago. Grrrrr.
