great pencils
this is the greatest .3 mm pencil ever- why was it so hard to discover? been using .3 pencils for drawing for 35+ years and have tried any quality pencil I could find. old Rotrings were my favorites for their quality and substantial feel but even if you can find them they are ridiculously costly. Alvin Draftmatics are reliable but boring. Staedtler were pretty but seemed to have a major design flaw, at least for the .3 size, in that the leads were consistently being broken inside when being advanced. And the feel and heft of none of the above alternatives above is nearly as nice as this pencil. I did get gouged on the shipping costs ($12.37 for 2 little pencils?) and the packing was pretty crappy (just tossed into an oversized padded envelope with nothing to protect the rather delicate tips) but these pencils are terrific and I'm going to order more sometime soon from someone else who will hopefully not charge so much for shipping and put a little more care into packaging.

Great pencil, high quality.
Extremely comfortable to hold, perfectly balanced. It’s great for extended writing sessions. The knock mechanism has a smooth feel when you click to extend the lead, and the overall finish is flawless. By far the best 0.3mm pencil I’ve used.

I'm liking this a lot
I think I like this better than the Graphgear 1000. This has a much more refined feel, more correct lighter weight, less nacho extreme type of clip, smaller smoother grip, better construction. Would I want a tip that's more protected, sure, but I think I can engineer a cap if I'm that concerned. And I think it's useful to mention that smart people buy a Pentel Clic Eraser. That thing in under the cap, that's only for emergencies.

My favorite mechanical pencil
Beautiful writing instruments. The weight is perfect, the line is fine, it feels substantial and works perfectly. This is my favorite mechanical pencil and I am quite a connoisseur.

Not worth the money
The box is way nicer then the pencil, for $15 feels cheap. not long after purchasing I got the rotring 600 (which by the way is deff my fav pencil by far) but I use the box the platinum came in to carry my rotring, so yea I use the $15 box everyday but that's about it

Quality Pencil
I have a couple other brands and this one seems to be the sturdiest one. I like the finest tip I can get in pens and pencils and this pencil works great.
