Very sturdy for 8 year old.
Bought this for my 5 y old grandson for his birthday. It was such a hit, my 8 y old granddaughter wanted a set of her own. Of course we got her a set for Christmas. She loved them. They were both happy because they combined the sets to make larger things like club houses, mazes, bridges, and they are very creative making items and structures. I highly recommend this item.

Worth every darned penny!
I love doing activities with kids, the more it makes their brain tick in addition to create boundless joy, the more I love it. Despite the price, I purchased this set for my grandsons who are 3 and 5. We already have a variety of the Antsy Pants sets which are also fabulous. However, these are created to support weight and also come with wheels! How could we go wrong? The virgin run was a blast...we built a car of sorts and then brought it outside to play (in the rain, no less)....ended up finding a hill in the fields and, well, does it get any better than a go-cart down a hill (in the rain)? Today, I went to the Tubelox website and purchased the storage bag (godsend), the canvas pieces (we also used 'sarah's silks' type fabric in our play yesterday) and, because even I, at almost 70 years old, love things that light up, the 6 LED flashing lights. Can't wait to surprise them when they come over again this week....maybe we'll build a helicopter. I found a longer, steeper hill. (o:I love being a Gigi...You will not regret this purchase, it will last for many, many years and I'm certain resell would be easy. Know that it does require adult assistance for younger kids; I'm thinking that maybe about 7-8 could begin to be somewhat independent with building but might still need assistance with transferring the2 dimensional instructions to the 3D build. The tubes/connectors all have holes on the ends that one needs to line up in order to place the locking clamp on them, even kids old enough to manage this might need help just because of the sheer number of these if constructing anything of any magnitude. Most kids would probably not be able to maintain the focus or patience to do this until maybe 10 or older...?Still...so worth it...even for this Gigi on a limited income. In the rating it asks about 'easy to assemble', that rating is somewhat relative. I'd say it's a tad cumbersome, so while it's easy to put the pieces together, there is, at times, the need to do so in a particular order to accommodate the platforms and the aforementioned clamps. Hence, the 3/5 stars rating for 'easy to assemble'....though 'ease' is relative.

Awesome toy!
We bought these for our grandkids. They’ve had so much fun with them! You can build anything with them. They’re easy to put together and take apart. Very durable material. Great value for the money. Definitely get a good large storage container for them though, some of the parts are large and bulky. Colors are cool! Probably best for 5 year olds and up unless you can be there to help put them together.

Great Entertaiment for Grandkids.
Our boys loved their Omegal Toy Set when they were youngsters (still have the set and they are interchangeable with the Tubelok Set). Our grandkids love their Tubelok Deluxe Building Toy Set. They will spend hours building and taking them apart and building something else. Rather expensive but well worth the money.

So much fun
My kids love tubelox. I've built a house and slide for them and they have played so much with them. They seem pretty sturdy. They remind me of pipeworks that I had as a kid. So glad I can share something from my childhood with my kids.

Children love it!
This is an amazing toy! My children build with these for hours. The pipes are sturdy enough that they can climb but fit together well enough that my 5, 3, and 1 year old can be creative without needing much help.

Excited
Giving this to the grandkids for Christmas! I can’t wait to see what they build. They are ages 1, 3, 5, & 8. I’ll try to update after Christmas with a picture.**But oh my word did this box stink!! I put the box in my laundry room to hide it and it smelled like a dog had pooped in there. We had to take all of the pipes and materials out of the box and put them in a plastic tote, so we could throw the stinking box away. I also sprayed the pipes and all with Lysol. I haven’t removed the lid to see if the pipes still stink. If so I’ll have to wash them all before I wrap them.*Update- The smell was better after putting them in a different container. The grands LOVE them. To my surprise, our 5 year old girl spent hours building things on her own. She didn’t look at the book, she just wanted to do her own thing. I definitely recommend these!

So fun
My kids had gotten a similar set when they were younger so I decided to get a set for the grandkids to keep them busy at our annual Christmas party . Don’t know who had more fun- the kids are the parents reliving their childhood.
