The magnets are strong and hold the light well, There is a magnet on the bottom that swivels and a magnet on the side so it can sit flat against a cabinet for storage. Great for retrieving dropped tools and stuff. :)The control button shifts through the tip light and bar light and off. A little different than the previous model.Duration is acceptable, at least 4 continuous hours. Light will start to flash to warn of low battery.Charging rate is twice as flash of the previous version. 1.7 amps on my meter vs 0.7 amps. Be sure to use the supplied charging cable or a good cable or you can melt the charging cable and short the cable out.This light uses a USB-C charging port. Previous versions used a USB-MICRO-B (?)Over all, I love this light.

Had a chance to put the 72 SL through its paces for the last two months.Compared to the 65SL, its slightly brighter, USB-C charging and has magnets on the back to increase the versatility in mounting positions.Astro lights are generally tougher and more durable than the knockoffs found on Amazon and those at Harbor Freight. Also usually spec'ed with a higher quality battery cell. Well worth the premium in my mind.Also love the auto shutoff when the battery gets drained down. Have killed a few cells by accidentally leaving the light on.Only reason why I am giving this 4 stars is the user interface changed slightly on this one versus the 65sl to the extent the 65sl is still the light I reach for first. The rotary switch doesn't turn on the main light anymore. Instead you must hit the button on the back twice which is harder with gloves on and it first cycles through the light on the tip of the light that I personally never use as most flashlights are a better option.

I bought the first light they made and used it for years, loved it. Finally broke it after 7 years and tried the cheap copies. 2 of the copies couldn't match the battery of the original.astro makes these of quality materials and they are top notch. I use it for field service and the battery lasts all day, plus it's useful of every job due to the magnets and hook, you can always mount it to light work. Skip the knock offs, THIS is what they are copying.

I have used these lights for several years and they have held up well. One of my favorite shop lights.

My wife bought this for me for Christmas. I wrench on all our vehicles and used to rely on dewalt lights while working on them. This light is amazing! It's bright, lasts longer than than advertised and charges quickly. I dropped it once and thought it was going to be toast, but it was fine. Don't know why I waitrd so long to purchase one of these. Will probably buy a second one soon.

It’s a good light but I value it around $60.

This is a great upgrade from a harbor freight light in my opinion. Strong magnet, adjustable brightness on the front facing light bar, and all day battery life make this a great choice.

Good flex base, bright and holds Charge along time. Thumb dimmer is a bonus. Great light if it will hold up. Time will tell.
