Strong and very comfortable

Very nice. I've been unable to shower after tearing all the ligaments I'm my knee. We have a tub/ shower and I'm unable to lift my leg up and over the tub to get in. Terrified of falling again! This bench is exactly what I need to sit and get both legs over the tub to shower safely!It is like the one used at the Nursing Home I was in for rehab to walk again. I recommend this. I found alot of shower benches but Most have NO Cushion to sit on. My hair is very long and it takes a long time to shower...I couldn't handle sitting on a bench with no cushion for that long!!! My hips couldn't take it.

My husband and I are getting old enough that we get tired taking showers, so we bought this so we can sit. The padded seat is very nice but needs to be warmed up before sitting on it, something that I'd imagine you would have to do with any bathtub bench. The bench itself is very sturdy. The company claims that the seat holds up to 500 lbs. but when you get to the end of the assembly instructions it says it's not meant to sit on, only to transfer. We are normal size people and just sit on it while we shower without it feeling wobbly. Since 2 legs sit outside of the tub, managing our shower curtain is awkward but we have not had any leaks. We don't use the back rest because we don't need it, so I can't comment on its comfort. What is unavoidable is that the size of the bench makes it hard to clean our 1-piece shower/tub. I use one of those white cleaning sponges and sit while I clean the front of the tub and lean on the bench to clean the back.

Even though I'm just out of hospital I was able to assemble this bench by myself. It's very sturdy and well made.

I just got back in town and opened the box to find padding already torn. Cannot use due to husband being paralyzed. That will cut his skin. Really disappointing and upset it can’t be exchanged.

I feel very safe using this chair and not wobbly at all.

For able bodied it may work. For paraplegic with great strength snd small framed - just not sturdy enough to feel safe. Had to return.
