It's so easy to get it right, now.
This tripod is a godsend for any installation tradesman who works on his own. The construction of the tripod is on the lightweight side, but it comes in a really sturdy bag and being light, is easy to stow in a van. Time and time again, this tripod has enables me to produce work where the straight lines and obvious professionalism were easy to achieve, with care; and no-one would dare challenge my competence. Many tradesmen self-promote their abilities verbally, using 'male-bovine-droppings.' With this tool, and a decent laser level to sit on it, you will not need to say a word.The lights across the front of my 'local' can be seen to be dead-level from half-a-mile away. By using this tripod, I have possibly enhanced the reputation of this hospitality business. Being a bit 'oldy-worldey' maybe I should have run them more erratically? Now, that would have been difficult.

Solved the picture hanging
Seems solid enough for normal around the house jobs. May be professionals in a hurry to leave and throwing it the van it will not last too long. For modern house I still have 2 extension pieces spare. Used it once but know I have a lot more jobs to do! Least every thing will be level now.

Ok if used without Tripod
Bought this to help with kitchen and bathroom fitting work. Good quality pole, but that’s where it ends really. To use just with the tripod it’s pretty useless as the laser, and mines not heavy, once attached makes it top heavy and unstable, you have to use the extension poles to reach the ceiling to steady it.which defeats the need for the tripod.The mounting bracket is also not great, ok adjusting up but judders and sticks when fine tuning down. You will also need to put something between the top of the pole, plastic mushroom and the ceiling as it is hard plastic and will mark, I used felt furniture pads, an easy fix and not a real problemShould really of sent it back, but had it too long now
