Exactly what is claimed, plain and simple.
The item itself is pretty straightforward, and exactly what it claims to be as a measuring tool for the height of those passing nearby. I am a teacher of forensic science, and I got this height measurement tape to post along the door leading out of my classroom as just a form of atmospheric decoration. However, it certainly serves the same purpose as one in any sort of store where you might see them posted to monitor people entering and exiting.

Not accurate -- use for approximate height ONLY
Whether you measure between the bottom of two black height lines or marks (left side shows digital calipers set to measure exactly 3.000 ") or the tops of two lines (right side ruler reads a different measurement at 6 " than the tape does) this tape measure is simply inaccurate.
