My New Favorite Baking Book
I've had this book on my wishlist for a long time, and finally purchased it several months ago. It's big, beautiful, and I wish I would have bought it much, much earlier. I picked one recipe from each section to start out with, and I've been having so much fun with recipes I've either always wanted to try but may have been too afraid to, or just recipes I may not have wanted to try at first glance. Every recipe has come out wonderful, and the directions are easy to follow. There's a picture for each recipe, and they make you want to bake everything. I even made eclairs, and I never thought I would have been able to do it. They were so, so good and I could have easily eaten them all myself. But you can't do that, so I had to make sure I gave most of them away.I've never seen the magazine this book is coming from, but I will say I plan on purchasing every annual book that comes out! I wouldn't hesitate to get this book, and would recommend it everyone.

Gorgeous Book, a new favorite!
Everything about this book is gorgeous: the images, the layout, and of course the recipes! I had my eye on this for a while and finally decided to buy it, best decision ever! I am a home baker, not a professional by any means but these recipes are so easy to follow and from the ones I've tried so far, a little forgiving when I mess something up. I will definitely buy this as a gift for someone that loves to bake, the recipes are very diverse with cakes, pies, scones, various breads and rolls, and a lot are very quick to make! I can't say enough good things about this book, I am in love!**Added some photos from a brioche recipe I made the other day (from the book). It was my first time making such a bread and it turned out great( best bread recipe I have made yet, my family loved it!

A Baking Cookbook That Will Build Your Confidence
First things first: I'm a fan of the magazine. The magazine has great recipes for things I want to bake. It is also beautifully photographed and styled.I purchased the book as a way of consolidating the magazine numbers from last year. The book does this well. The book organizes recipes by baking type (cakes, breads, cookies, pastries and miscellaneous) which is great. In addition, the book is styled and photographed in the same high quality manner as the magazine.I've made a number of the recipes. They are easy to follow. Everything I have made has turned out tasty and wonderful. The book keeps all of these recipes in one place well organized. I hope Bake From Scratch sticks around a while. It is great.

A Keeper
First, let me say that I am addicted to cookbooks. When we recently downsized and relocated across the country, I donated quite a few of my books to our previous community's annual used book sale to benefit the town library. Still, I have dozens and dozens of cookbooks. I have repeatedly told myself that I do not need anymore, but it is hard to resist, especially when a book is as beautiful as this one. I've enjoyed paging through it and admiring the many fine photographs and salivating over the mouth-watering recipes. To date, I have only tried the recipe for Cardamom Dusted Madeleines, but that is the best recipe I've found for Madeleines (and I've tried many). It will now be my one and only for making these yummy treats. I can hardly wait for cooler weather to start baking up a storm!

I’m obsessed with this baking book
I’m obsessed with this baking book.If you’re a baker I truly recommend this book, there are easy and advance recipes. I have over a hundred baking and cookbooks and even more than that in magazines, I have so many that just as soon as my daughter noticed the new book the first words that came out of her mouth was “Mom, another freaking cookbook?” Yep! Lol.I’ve baked a couple of cakes, several bread recipes including muffins and scones and have been pleased with them all. I especially love the sourdough starter and the cream biscuits are my daughter’s favorite. The only downside is there are not that many cookie or pie recipes. The majority of each recipe in the book gets one full page image so you get a good look at what you are going to bake. Recipes are easy to follow and the book is very large which is great for us that are older and now hard of seeing LOL.

Most beautiful photos and gift worthy! Home cook approved.
I own about 200 cookbooks as I love reading about food. This is one of my favorites. I have been reading the magazines and my husband surprised me with this as a random gift. I was glued to the beautiful photos and the ingredients do no intimidate. We have a few items tabbed for baking and can't wait to get started. This is also one of the most beautiful cookbooks. When we can company over and they see my books, they always ask which I'd recommend and this has been my go-to recommendation. Everyone who has seen this at our home has purchased their own copy. There is a second volume upcoming in 2018 and I am excited to get it!

My favorite baking book!!
I bought this book in 2017 and I’ve made several recipes, all turned out amazingly! I’ve made the red velvet cake four times(my sons favorite and his birthday cake request), the buttermilk drop biscuits 3 times (and no they don’t taste like a salt lick) two of the several scone recipes and both were better than any I’ve ever had before. Today I made the banana fosters money bread, my family loves it!Once I took left over red velvet cake to my office and had a request for the recipe after several co-works said, wow you made this from scratch?! Why, yes I did thanks to this awesome baking book! I’m going to make the carrot cake next, so excited!I’m going to buy a few to give as Christmas gifts.

Good recipes
So there are a lot of recipes but not many I am interested in baking. I did complete a few but for each of them I would adjust a bit. We made the eclairs but I didn't like their custard so I used my own. I made a few cakes but I would have to adjust the sugar if I made them again. There are a large volume of cakes which I do love a good cake but not something I make often enough to have so many in a book. I would have preferred more pastries but I might just be the odd one there.
