Great Fit
Amazon did something that Ebay couldn't do sent me the right Lens hood it is reversable and a nice design was sent the wrong one twice by ebay. Perfect fit for the EF 70-300 IS USM canon lens will not fit the L lens as that takes a different design

Nice hood but does not fit some EF 70-300mm
I’m sure the hood works fine, but it didn’t fit my lens. It seems EF 70-300mm IS USM and II USM require different hoods.

Hood is too loose on lens
The product is made out of quality plastic and would be a good product, however I think the one I ordered was bent during transit. The box fell apart and the hood doesn't fit tightly onto the lens.

Pros: This hood is well built. Nice and solid. It does not feel like it will break in your hand and it does feel like it will protect the front of your Canon EF 70-300mm IS II USM lens. The big thing is the Canon version is $38.00 plus here on Amazon and that is just too much for a piece of plastic. The interior of the lens hood is flat black and textured. The push to unlock removal feature is nice and I even forgot to use it and forced the hood off of the lens, which is possible but it did not break or alter the functionality at all. I highly recommend this lens hood.Cons: It does not have the Canon name on the hood so if you want to pay more for that well that's on you. As for me i will save some money, get a great lens hood and put my saving toward another lens for my kit.$59.00 and that I can not justify for a piece of plastic

Doesn't Fit my 70-300mm lens way to big did I order the wrong one
Is there a smaller hood this one is at least 1/4 inch to large for my 70-300mm and the stock 18-55mm anyone else have the same issue

I'm very impressed with this lens hood. It fits my 70-300 perfectly and locks in place.

Perfect fit for RF 100-400
As if this JCC version wasn't inexpensive enough I decided to buy an even less expensive knock-off. Bad move. Returned it ASAP and bought this JCC model like I should have done in the first place. The JCC version fits the RF 100-300 perfectly, no hassle at all getting it on or off and can be fitted or removed with the lens cap on. Plastic is similar in quality to what the OEM Canon would be. Release button has a good feel and is easy to press.
