Very nice pen
Great price, lovely pen. The color is translucent dark red with tiny, subtle gold flecks, giving it a nice vintage look.It comes with a Fine nib, which is a little dry and scratchy at first; but after writing with it for a while the nib loosened up and the ink now flows nicely. Sailor does not offer replacement nibs (that I am aware of), so be prepared to live with the nib it comes with.The box was sturdy and attractive, suitable for presentation. Included with the pen were a couple of ink cartridges and a little sticker.I'm happy with this purchase.

Beautiful Sailor
This is a beautiful Sailor. The “fire burning over the surface of water” is gorgeously depicted in the red resin body with a most subtle gold shimmer. I was originally hoping for more “sparkles” but am now really appreciative of this finer and more elegant shimmer. The fine nib writes smoothly straight out of the box, but different from my other Sailor stainless steel or gold nibs. They all write with a pretty typical Sailor “pencil-like” feedback - but not this one. This one is smooth without that feedback and works well with my inks. Highly recommend if you are just getting into Japanese fountain pens or already a seasonal user. So happy with the purchase.

The nib isn't the same one as in the picture
Seems great but right off the bat, it doesn't have the nib that I wanted, which is the nib that is on all the pictures displayed. I got one without several lines of text missing from the nib. I chose this pen based on the multiple pictures showing the nib I wanted. I got a different one than the one in the picture.

Smooth writer in great colors
Love the Sailor Shikiori line, it’s my third fountain pen from it. This particular collection is very affordable and writes so smooth. I got it in an extra fine but admittedly it writes quite thick, closer to a medium fine. It’s OK to me though since I enjoy Sailor so much and the color selection is unbeatable. The inspiration for it, Yodaki, is a summer bonfire on the beach. The dark red is just a little transparent and has some glitter to it.

An affordable and presentable Sailor fountain pen that will surely please the newbie
That day I was looking for a gift to mail overseas, meaning presentable and not a pilfer magnet, this pen popped up on Amazon. It was so pretty and had a matching Sailor Shikiori ink (20 ml.), I couldn't resist. The recipient was so pleased to receive it, too! Note: Sailor strongly recommends using its inks in its pens, which I also strongly advise because some other inks can be more viscous.
