Great deal, easy to use
These tapo cameras are pretty great for the price. I waited for a sale and got them at an even better price (the prices of these things fluctuate so much). They're definitely worth it, especially if you can snag them on sale like I did. The AI pet detection is really cool - my dog likes to run around in the backyard and sometimes jump on the fence, but this camera caught every instance without any issues. It even sent me a notification when he started barking at a squirrel once (I guess that's considered a threat). The video quality is pretty good too - I can see everything clearly, even at night with the night vision. The two-way audio works well enough if you need to tell your pet or child to calm down from another room. It took me a little while to set up the cameras, but once I got them connected to my Wi-Fi and Alexa (which was easy), everything worked smoothly. My only complaint is that the app can be a bit buggy sometimes, but it's not too bad.

Great cameras at a great price
These Tapo cameras are great. The 2k resolution is excellent, and the motion detection works well. And most importantly, their WiFi connectivity is rock solid. They're easy to set up, configure, and the app is pretty good as apps go.The only odd thing is they have their own power adapter instead of using USB. Not a big deal, but something to know when you're putting them around the house.I have 12 of them in various spots around the house and outside. They're not outdoor cameras, but they seem fine as long as they're not directly in the weather. For the price they can't be beat.

Great camera especially at this price
I'll give it 5 stars because it deserves more than 4. Easy set up, video quality is excellent, excellent for the price. Waaaaay better than Blink. The cons are propriety power cord, not USB C like more expensive Tapo cams. The cord is long too. Also if you are going to force a propriety power cord and the plug in is on the bottom of the camera body, why not make it a right angle plug?Very satisfied with every Tapo cam I've purchased so far. App and UI is also head and shoulders above Blink and Wyze.

Great for the price
Replacing some Reolink E1 Zoom cameras that just can't seem to start operational for more than a few seconds. So far this camera has been great in terms of actually providing an operational video stream. Even works in BlueIris with a little bit of setup and knowledge (use port 2020 for discovery). I paid $15 per device on sale which is an amazing price for something that works in BlueIris. The main downsides are limited configuration and picture quality. I get a lot of bloom from light sources in color mode and the overall picture is over exposed to the point where I'm losing details. I also need to configure the cut over to IR mode because some light sources prevent it from happening when it should. Would be great if I could adjust settings to help with that. As a result, the app is limited and actually quite annoying to use... it bombards me with unnecessary guide/tutorial dialogs and ads for their paid services during setup. Glad I don't have to use it after I get it running in Blue Iris. Here are the high level details compared to my E1 Zoom it is replacing:Pros- Works on modern wifi systems pretty well- Seems pretty stable so far- Price (on sale at $15/per device this is a no brainer)Cons:- Picture quality- Limited configuration- App is annoying

Tapo cameras are GREAT!!
I now own 4 of these cameras and have never had a single problem with any of them. They have out of the box rtsp support w/ username and password. They connect flawlessly with frigate at full resolution and 1080p and even support audio transmission/recording with no hastle. Have never disconnected despite them being wifi connected cameras. Decent in low light. They have default substreams of lower quality... must I go on?Additionally, the tapo app is pretty nice. I exclusively use it to view cameras live in a pinch - the app gives instant notifications if a person is detected. The app by itself seems more than usable if you have sd cards or subscribe to the tp tapo cloud subscription, but I cannot speak specifically to that route.TLDR; You are not going to get a better camera in a better ecosystem + it works great in frigate.

Better than expected!!
The quality of the materials is better than I expected for the price, but the functionality is also surprisingly good! The set up was a little bit confusing, but i also don't like reading the instructions. I had some mice coming into my kitchen and wanted to find out where they were coming from, and just how many I was dealing with. I set up these cameras in my kitchen at night, one on the floor and one on the countertop. They worked perfectly! The night vision worked very well, and the notification is almost immediate. You can set the sensitivity and can turn off human detection. These seriously helped me solve my problem. Now I'm thinking of using them as security cameras. I can also see these being really helpful for a nursery. I recommend them!

Great camera, great price
I have an outdoor security camera of a different brand, and I purchased these cameras, when I couldn't find an indoor one of the same brand as my outdoor. I love the quality of the cameras and doesn't seem to be dark or blurry, setup was super easy. I wish they came with a no screw mounting option, but I was able to find one to purchase separately. Also, the ability to speak through the system and video seems to be a bit laggy, but I would absolutely buy again, and might switch outdoor cameras to this brand.
