I like the first one I bought so much that I bought a second one. And I wear them both at the same time. I’ve had them for over a year now. I wear one as a boot knife in the other as a neck knife. Am I paranoid? Well, having earned the Army Ranger Tab, airborne wings, and air assault wings, and being a military Academy graduate I thought I was too well trained and bad ass to need to be armed. I was wrong. A few years ago, I got attacked while I was unarmed by a man with a large butterfly knife right outside my (good) neighborhood, and I’m blessed to be alive. So while I never walk in fear, I am vigilant and I want the best weapons I can carry legally. These are strong, no nonsense knives. And there’s no question whether they are “full tang“. While these are not the only weapons I carry, I’ve never found a knife that I would rather have if it ever came down to urgently needing one again.

This is a handy, no-nonsense boot knife. It won't win a beauty contest because practicality trumps aesthetics here. There's nothing to break, come loose, or discolor with time. It's just a chunk of ball bearing steel that's been honed to a razor edge on both sides. I have much more expensive and ornate knives and the problem with those is that I really don't want to screw them up. This one is cheap enough to abuse and well-made enough to take it.The sheath is great. It secures the knife tightly and has a variety of options for integrating it with whatever you've got to work with. 1" leather or nylon straps fit perfectly.This is my second one. The first one is still alive and kicking but I let my son talk me out of it. A couple of weeks later, I regretted the decision so much that I ordered another. Though there was nearly ten years between both purchases, the new knife is just a great as the original. Happy with the purchase.

I like this knife.I even like the steel it's made of, and I'm kinda a snob...Eminently simple. Ya gotta like that.1 piece of steel.Blade is a mite long.Sheath is xlent.Couple mods....I couldn't get a drill bit to bite, so I used a mini grinder to cut a slot: .25"x1.5" out of the handle. I estimate that moved the center of balence a half inch tipward. Helps.I adapted the utili-clip to hang upside down outside the shaft of my Hondo boot. I'm not sure just how discrete that trick will end up yet... but it's reversible.One issue to bear in mind in purchasing a 5" boot blade is how long before you are relieved of it by the constabulary. I like the look of the Spyderco, but I'd rather loose $40 than $200.I have on order TB Outdoor's Protecteur. (French heliochopter soldier issue) $60? I think I'll like that even more. You should check it out.

Great knife and sheath.

Brother-in-law wanted another cold steel knife in his collection. As a knife enthusiast as well, I like cold steel. They rarely disappoint. I was very surprised at the weight in hand of this blade. It’s a good size and has a full tang so it’s durable. Scabbard is a standard, but clicks in well with no wobble. He loved it! Thank you!

I've been looking for a small, fixed blade, discreet knife, with a sheath, that I can put in my pocket when I walk. This knife fits the bill and fits in my sweatshirt pocket, vs. boot, quite nicely. I found the blade to be straight and sharp and didn't have any issues as mentioned in some other reviews. I like the finger guard on the knife handle which provides a firmer grip and safety in the event I actually have to use the knife. The clip on the sheath grips quite well and I had no problems with the knife falling out of the sheath or dragging on it per other reviews. For you girls out there, yes, this will firmly clip on the leg pocket of your yoga pants, but with the stretchiness of the fabric, you will not be able to easily extract the knife from the sheath if needed. I really like this knife and thought it was quite the bargain for the price point. It would make a good stocking stuffer and it's not just for the fellas.
