Excellent scanner from Revopoint! After using a different brand of scanner in work, I wanted something for the house. This does everything that does for a fraction of the price!

This seems to be a very nice product but actually using it I could not stand the way it performed, the app itself just drove me insane constantly losing track and then having to restart. The phone holder is also not big enough for some larger phones such as the S22+ and its incredibly tight making me very worried about the screen. It simply cannot do material that contain black as it says but even with other means of trying to aid it still cannot scan them.

Until recently, I would have given this product a 2-Star review. But there is a completely new version of software (Version 4) available now which has really improved the performance. When the tracking was lost and regained on the previous software, it would invariably place the regained surface position at random and you'd have to start all over again.The new software is more intelligent in searching for where the surface should be mapped to once the tracking is re-established. It's still not perfect, but neither are the £50k scanners used by professionals.The meshing software needs improvement for when markers are used. The hole left in the surface point cloud due to the markers can be filled in automatically, but it doesn't bridge the hole with a flat fill. It renders an indentation into the surface, like someone has poked a finger in to dough.I use MeshMixer for better results.All in all, a pretty good product for £500.

The actual scanner is pretty great - if you want to scan a head in, it'll come out very well.If you have dark hair, I found loading it up with talcum powder really helps the tracker. Keep the person as still as possible too for the best result. I've found spinning on a chair does work but you have to fuse the points after one rotation. Scanning the body will take lots of practice.The PC software can also be manually set to 0.05mm accuracy.

Yep its not as plug n play as you are lead to believe, there is a vid of someone scaning a wall, dont believe it, any blacks and it wont scan you need a scanning spray to get it to pick it up and you cant go spraying that in a museum now. It dont contect well to my laptop though it dose to my samung 22 ultra go figure that? But as normal for chinese stuff the software is the let down. Ive had mine for months and it just sits in the box now as its a pain to get any usable scan out of it, so dont dont believe these paid 5 stars reviews. Its not scan n go print at all though you are lead to think that by the many paid off vids on youtube what you dont see is the hours of clean up in zbrush or another cad software and thats if you get a scan in the 1st place. Wait another few years and just maybe a plug n play scan might happen or the chinese might learn to write good software. Dont bother unless you have plenty of time to do scan after failed scan.

I use this product to make models of friends and family. It is contributing majorly to really lifelike results. It is also substantially cheaper and is out-performing other products of this type in certain areas.The service team are also excellent to deal with and really helpful. They also contribute very quickly in the facebook groups for the product.

The scanner is amazing. The build quality and software are brilliant. The resolution of the scan is very high with great accuracy. We have been using it for small engineering products and wooden mouldings. Very good results. Would 100% recommend it to hobbyist or professional user. Very well thought out product.
