We have three identical small garbage cans on our kitchen counter, which confuses guests (and our small children). My brother made some pretty nice handwritten labels on pieces of black masking tape about five years ago after getting in trouble for using the wrong cans (!!), but they were starting to look shabby. I wanted something nice to put on our stainless steel cans, and these are it! They are made with some kind of plastic/aluminum film that should clean easily. I was able to move them around a bunch while trying to get them straight and they still look great (no wrinkled edges) and adhere well, despite all the times I removed them and re-stuck them on. Now when people get confused, at least it won’t be because I didn’t try! It will be because we have a very convoluted process ;)

Good looking labels, stay on when applied.

These look great and are durable vinyl. They have stood up to being hosed down. I have had the same set up for three years but I was always having to sort through my cans after guests left because they could never remember what goes where. Simple solution.

Some members of my household struggled with identifying what discarded items go in which bins based solely on the colors of the lids so I had to help them by providing some visual cues. These, combined with another set of somewhat similar decals, have really seemed to do the trick. No more excuses. It’s been well worth the purchase.

Got what I needed, so I'm happy. But for some reason the trash decal doesn't seem to want to stick as well as the other two. The edges keep peeling up. And they were placed on a brand new 3 compartment trash can straight out of the box, so I know there was nothing on the lid that would have made it harder to stick to.

One of my New Year's resolutions was to be more mindful of the environment. LA just started a city-wide compost program, and I decided to take advantage of this. But I've tried composting before and it's messy, smelly, and attracts bugs and rodents.So I picked up a couple of step-on lidded trash cans and snazzed them up with these cool stickers. (pro tip: spring for the blue and green bags to keep it clean....). Now separating my trash is a breeze and I can feel good about throwing stuff out.
