Identical to SC ferulic
This is exactly the same as SC CE Ferulic. Maybe better. Same smell ( like hot dog water), consistency, color, and effectiveness. I’ll never go back to paying 130$. For me it’s not sticky, it absorbs well and brightens my skin tone. Also seems to make any blemishes disappear. It’s a great serum. I’ll also say i’ve tried countless Vitamin C serums such as Timeless ( sticky af), SC CE ferulic, Skin Devas (which i did like) Mad Hippies, Ole Henrikson, Tru Skin, etc etc and this one is most like the original SC. It will burn if you use an acid before so be careful. It’s very powerful.Update; People saying it smells like hot dogs it’s supposed to and no it shouldn’t be brown or orange when receiving. Yes it’ll turn color after a few months but that’s the name of the game with real vitamin c. Plan on replacing every 3 months. Store in the fridge for longer effectiveness. Also yes it will sting and burn if you don’t know what you’re doing or are sensitive.Photos are one that turned and one fresh delivered today. I’ve bought several times and never gotten a brown or orange one. Pay attention to the lot numbers. They are making several batches in between and this was since April. The one turned light amber/orange about 3 months after purchase but I didn’t keep it in the fridge. This time I am…The SC one i used to buy was light amber day of delivery and I know now that’s not a good thing. So im still saying this is even better…

This before bed and I wake up looking radiant! Bang for your buck!
I do not wear makeup so the face I wake up with is the face I go out with, and since putting this serum (combined with a retinol serum) on at night, I have been loving how my skin looks when I wake up! :)I have been using this for a month so far and am very happy. The serum definitely has a smell (not perfume). I think it reminds me of just hippy oils in general; like geranium, or a more earthy flower. It’s not a good smell, but it is not pungent like a perfume either, so it is easy ignore, especially when put on at night. The serum applies smooth and absorbs into skin quickly. My face is a little shiny for about 20 minutes, but after it is dry to touch and not oily looking or feeling at all. When I wake up the next morning my skin looks and feels moisturized and when I take a shower the next night my face still has the serum on it (which is a good thing in my opinion). My eyes and face look bright and awake from the moment I wake up. It is great to feel confident about my skin without any makeup. We recently moved to the east coast and as winter started to arrive, I found my face looking and feeling very dull and loose (being in my mid twenties and from a Mediterranean climate, this was a very odd thing for me to notice every day). I started my research by asking people for recommendations on skin care for preventing aging. Many expensive products and skincare lines were brought up, so I then began to research what the active ingredients were in such products. I came to the only proven-to-be-potent active ingredients in all the products were either retinol (vitamin a) or vitamin c ( l-ascorbic acid). Going further into research by reading dermatoligicle essays and such, I found that retinol (vitamin a) and vitamin c ( in the form of l-ascorbic acid) have been studied for at least 20 years and been proven time and time again to really help with skin health, photo-aging, and lines. So, looking further into how to make vitamin c the most potent as possible, I found that vitamin c works best when paired with vitamin e, and when ferulic acid is added, the vitamin c is drastically better at protecting your skin from uva and uvb damage (when under sun screen). The hyaluronic acid is good for counteracting any drying effects the vitamin c might have and helps with absorption deeper into the skin. Vitamin c also needs to be between 15%-20% to give the best results. This serum is only 15%, but worth the compromise for all of the other ingredients and the fact that it is l-ascorbic acid and not the synthetic vitamin c that is in a lot of other vitamin c serums. Only l-ascorbic has been studied over 20 years and been found to be gentle/relatively safe on skin and work long term. The synthetic versions are more stable but due to them been rather new, long term studies are not really available yet. Finally, because vitamin c breaks down in the sun, it is best to put it on at night before bed (so it can soak into your skin in the dark and then protect it during the day). Extra bonus; if one uses retinol, putting a vitamin c serum on first improves the ability of retinol to penetrate into the skin and become more potent. This stuff is all the bang for your buck!

Great Quality Serum
I’ve been using this vitamin C serum for almost a month. It’s is supposed to be a dupe or a very close imitation to the expensive skinceuticals vitamin C serum + ferulic acid serum. I’ve never tried it. Me and $200 serums don’t dance together. This is a nice serum. It has stayed the faint gold color it started as and it sinks into my skin after application. It is too soon to see improvement and I’m not sure if I will as I’ve been using vitamin c in different forms every morning for years. Because of this, it is likely helping with maintenance rather than improvement and I’m ok with that.It feels cosmetically elegant. The hot dog water smell fades quickly. I think I’ll use this 3-4 months before reevaluating. 4.5 stars for now.

Noticeably Improved Skin
I noticed a difference very soon (1-2 weeks) after incorporating this into my routine. I have pink undertone skin with a lot of freckles, and I've noticed it has made my skin brighter and evened out my tone. This was the only thing that's changed in my routine, and I've woken up multiple times a bit surprised by my skin, so I figured it was time to write a review! It plays well under makeup, but it does smell really bad, so be warned. It has the hotdog water smell of similar serums. For the price, I'll definitely rebuy.I'm in my early thirties and don't have wrinkles yet, so I can't comment much on its anti aging properties. As far as vitamin C serums go, the only other ones I've tried are Timeless (no difference to skin) and Lancome Genifique (did improve skin, but was too expensive for a small difference). So I can't compare it to the SkinCeuticals one or the Maelove one people love.
