DO NOT LEAVE PLUGGED IN!!!
I bought this light so I could easily see addresses at night time when I make deliveries. I have left it plugged in for easy accessibility.While out driving today, somehow the unit powered itself on (probably while driving on gravel, pr through a bumpy alleyway). Halfway to my destination i thought I smelled chemicals.. and wondered if it was my engine, or something coming through the vents. When I got to my destination I saw a small puff of smoke come from the 12v plug and immediately unplugged the light. I grabbed the light only to see a large puff of smoke and discovered that the light melted through my thick rubber floor mat AND through my carpet AND through the foam underneathrink and!!!! I grabbed my drink and tossed it onto the glowing embers that used to be my passenger side floor.This absolutely has a faulty switch, and should have a safety feature of some kind! Had i arrived at my destination earlier and NOT noticed the smell or the tiny plume of smoke feom the plug.. and went inside.. i might nit have had a car to return to!!!Totally devastated by this! I'm going to have to replace my carpet, the foam, and likely the 12v port as well! Absolutely wild!! I can't believe it..

Nice and bright.
Nice and bright use it in my RV out in the country and lit up the wrong guy's household by mistake. Almost got shot at but it just goes to show you how strong this thing is.

It works. It is very bright but the switch on the back is terrible at best. If it had the same switch they used to it would be 5 stars. The overall feel is cheap, but that switch is disgusting.
