Gree 9,000 BTU 16 SEER LIVO+ Wall Mount Ductless Mini Split Air Conditioner Heat Pump 115V

I ordered this unit for a shed I am converting into a photography workshop/studio. It was installed by an HVAC expert, and we are now using it as an air conditioner as we finish the insulation and walls. It's a lifesaver. We can work indoors without being so hot, it's quiet, quick and efficient. Even the outside unit is quiet, which has to be happy for our neighbors. It didn't appear to be that difficult to install, although it would have taken me a lifetime to figure out what to do. My installer had it done in a couple of hours. Works perfectly.

The add says it highly suggests a professional install. It doesn't say if you DIY it. It will not be warrantied. I sent mine back with out even opening it and they kept $200. of my money. The add is miss leading. Reason I didn't install is because you have to take the gas out of it to do it and I haven't done that before. Again not in the add.

This is one of the worst products I've ever purchased. It was professionally installed, but before long it began leaking water out of the front of the unit, damaging the furniture below it. The condensate drain line is plugged, as happens routinely with air conditioners. I periodically clear debris out of the drain line on my main house central AC, as do many of my neighbors because we live in a humid environment. For this poorly designed unit, the manual says to call an AC service person if it leaks water. Removing the cover after a 17 step disassembly process I can see why. The drain pan is buried in the interior of the unit, completely inaccessible, and requires almost complete disassembly to clean the pan and blow out any debris in the line. Bottom line, this unit can't be trusted. The poorly designed condensate pan can clog at any time as is common with AC systems, but you need a certified repairman to gut the unit for what should be a simple maintenance procedure. Any time you leave this thing running, it has the potential to damage your house. I'm sorry I ever bought it.

Turned a shed into a studio. Heat/AC has worked in 2 seasons now perfectly. I installed an had a local HVAC guy inspect and evacuate for pretty low fee.Quite and has worked for 5 months.

It’s not cold enough. Need someone check what’s going on with the refrigerant.

High quality split air conditioner. Installation requires a professional. The cost of the machine and installation is almost the same.

I purchased a Gree mini split system for my home and had it installed by a certified HVAC contractor on Feb. 29, 2020. One of the inside units failed. The coil developed numerous leaks. Had a certified HVAC contractor determine the unit could not be repaired and would need to be replaced. Contractor is a certified Gree dealer. He contacted Gree and they informed him they could not replace the unit because they did not make this particular unit anymore. They have refused to do anything to stand behind their warranty. All warranty papers were filled out correctly and I received notice from Gree that the warranty was in effect. Gree has done nothing to satisfy their warranty. I have had to purchase another unit (not a Gree). I spent $440.00 with my contractor in determining the unit needed to be repaired and replace. Gree is not a reputable company. They have not even offer to reimburse me for my expenses.

If you like regular maintenance calls, circuit board replacements, having to power down, and boot back up to work once, with error messages nonstop, this is the unit for you.
