It charged, and it worked. So far...
It's an aftermarket battery. Which means that I will always have reservations about the long term quality. I am a computer repair tech and use aftermarket batteries frequently when OEM is not available or too costly. Here's my breakdown for my ratings.Battery Life: It charged and seems to last hours on a full charge after properly initialized. How long will it last, or how many recharge cycles? Who knows. I don't expect any of these to last as long as the OEM, but they are a fraction of the cost, and your computer is likely really old anyway. So it's more of a question about how long do you need it to work for the money? I do recommend following the initial discharge/charge cycle directions. It does make a difference. I would also recommend that you do not leave your computer plugged in to AC power 100% of the time. Pull the plug once in a while and use the battery for what it is designed for. Maybe just once a month. Run it down, then fully charge. The rest of the time, charge it how you want. But I find leaving it plugged in all the time will destroy the battery life.Ease of install: That depends on your laptop. I found it easy, but I'm an expert. If you haven't done it before, check for a YouTube disassembly video for your specific model computer first. Be familiar with where to find all the screws (some may be hidden), and how the case separates. Take your time, most of it is held together with plastic clips that are easily broken.Value for the money: Varies. In my experience, following my recommendations for discharge and recharge, most aftermarket batteries will last 1 to 2 years. This might be less than the life of an OEM battery. But most batteries will degrade after 2 years anyway. Assuming that your computer may already be several years old since you are replacing the battery, then I would find this addition of potentially a couple years life to be great. After that, you should probably get a new computer anyway.

Good replacement battery
The battery was easy enough to replace with the provided tools. I did have to look up actual instructions to properly open the laptop to remove and replace the existing battery. A link to a good video would be very helpful

Best replacement yet
This is my computers second replacement battery - first using this brand/supplier. Battery arrived in excellent condition and with near full charge. Installation was straightforward in my HP portable. The battery has maintained charge over extended non-use periods. Very pleased as of this time - about four months after installation.

Perfect
The BPBP02Xis an exact replacement for my HP Pavilion's 15-au030nr original slightly swelled battery.I had forgotten how long of a battery life a good battery is supposed to have. Where the original battery's life at the time of replacement was maybe 30 minutes. The new battery is like the Energizer Bunny.I found an excellent how to video online and replaced the battery myself. It was a breeze. While I was at it upgraded the factory 8gb & 4 gb ram to 8 & 8. While your in there, take some canned air and blow out the dust in the fan and everywhere else
