Infra red sensor to boost signal from behind tv
Brilliant infra red sensor. Installed a media wall with soundbar behind the tv hence, needed this to boost the ability to control the soundbar. This works brilliantly. Range is very good and signal strength works well. It’s easy to install and use. Only downside is comment is the sticky back is not sticky enough to secure hence, I used additional double sided tape which has done the job just fine. Really reasonably priced and fast delivery. Highly recommend. I’m happy

Simple Cheap Solution - Works Well - but NOT 10 feet length!
Purchased this IR extender to control an old Apple TV that I wanted hidden away in the cupboard. As other reviews say, this unit has a very bright red LED that's always on when it's powered, however I've found that the field of view to receive your IR commands is excellent, so it can be hidden away to be less obtrusive... I've attached ours to the underneath of the TV cabinet, so cannot be seen unless you are on the floor. The cable to the blaster is a good length, but the USB power cable is not as long - it would be great if the manufacturer spent a few extra pence on having the cables of equal length. The USB power cable is approx 1.3m (4.3ft) and the IR blaster cable is approx 2m (6ft) - so not quite the 10ft that is advertised in the product title, but it does also say in the description that it's 6ft - but this is not the case for the power - so if that's an issue for you, beware! I'm hoping that a USB extension cable will carry enough power for me from the TV to power this, so it's only active when the TV is powered up.The unit works perfectly with our Apple TV, it's small enough to be discretely hidden out of sight and is a good price, so even with the discrepancy in the cable length, I would recommend this product.

Amazing magic eye. So easy to use.
So our sky Q box is behind a cupobaord door and wasn't receiving signal from sky box to remote... TSo after some researcj and reading the reviews on here, we took a chance and boight this... And omg its brilliant, our remote now works with sky Q box behind the cupbaord door, and the thought of we was prepared to drill another whole on the wall so we could have the sky box visible in order for it work, just makes me laugh...We put the USB port into the skybox for power. The small eye on the sky box next to the buttons on the devixe u want to control and the bigger eye outside and hidden and under the cupboard door- the sensor works very well even if u put the big eye in an awkward position.Highly recommend.Dirt cheap and arrived within the day with prime acccount.

Does exactly what it says on the tin, works well, easy setup and cheap.
Tested this out by plugging the USB power cable in, then put the little 'pod' near the TV sensor, and the bigger 'pod' where the remote will see it, and it just works.Very happy, solved the problem of my soundbar blocking the sensor. 30 second setup. Perfect. All TVs should come with one.

Not sure
I got this for my TV since our receiver was broken. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to solve the issue, but I'm not sure if the problem lies with the receiver or if my TV just isn't working properly! So, I can't really comment on how well it works.

Quick fix for using a cabinet to hide all the electrics
We have put the electrics for the A/V inside a cabinet but this stops several of the remotes working. Some are Bluetooth and these work through the wood cabinet but the IR (little red LED on front and needing pointing usually) fail. The Sky Q box has a spare powered USB port on the back so just plugged it into that for power. The lozenge shaped receiver is outside on top of the cabinet and not ugly in a normal home (if you are OCD or a minimalist work out the route as the blob cannot be taken off the cable to feed it through a small hole) leaving the transmitter inside the cabinet to blast the boxes. You can stick it to the Sky box directly or stand it back and so cover a few devices. If the various boxes are separated with shelves you will likely need a unit with a small box and multiple LEDs inside the cabinet but this works for the three we have stacked together on one shelf by fixing it to the cabinet with line of sight to them. All bits are on one linear cable so no mess. It is quite long allowing it to run around the edges of the cabinet. The cable and bits are black just in case you have white units and peripherals. The receiver blob seems very receptive and none of the remotes have failed to work with it.Sky older style LEDMarantz AV receiverDVD playerPhilips style Audio CD player
