These are great once installed, 21st century tuning
I come from a guitar background so the push/twist thing on the violin is a bit annoying, seems very archaic!These things once fitted are great. I did it myself with not real struggles on a modern violin, if i had a really expensive violin I might go to a luthier.Anyway once installed they work exactly as intended, you just dial it in. Like the guitar I always tune up, i.e. if I need to go lower I go a little bit too far below then back up, not sure if I need to with these but that tends to hold the tuning better on a guitar anyway, a little tip if you have issues when tuning down.
