Helix Precision Drawing Set - Color: None

OK, a multi-piece set that can probably be used for any application at any stage, whether you're in school or working already.I've had my share of drawing sets (Rotring, Staedtler....etc) from school time all the way through Uni(doing Mech-Eng), then working.Now, I needed a set for the occasional use at work on a piece of paper and I stumbled upon these and decided to get them because I wasn't willing to fork out lotta quid.To my own surprise, these turned out to be quite good..very good indeed... You get the standard compass, a smaller precision one, an extension arm and on top of all, an attachment socket if you want to use a drawing pen instead (which I'm constantly using with my mechanical pencil). I mean, seriously, is there anyone out there still using leads?For the £5.84 I paid, I'm quite satisfied with the quality and flexibility of the set.

Grand daughter never stops playing with them, really good at great price.

A good set for students or creative who don't need top quality. I've had a couple of goes with it and it hasn't moved even when I extended it right out. Having said that I was using it on a flat, level, stable surface on normal office paper.If you need a precision, quality set for regular use I would suggest investing a little more and buying a better product, but for occasional use or if you just need a tool that will get the job done (and it's nothing unusual) then this is adequate.

Got this for drawing and it allows for beautiful accuracy through various methods. The two compasses are similar - one is slightly larger and has a wheel to alter the width for max precision where the smaller is similar to the more conventional compass. Love that is comes with a couple of spare lead, screws, wheel nuts and a pen clamp. Haven't yet used it for larger circles. Comes in a tidy case but the items do need to be at a particular angle to fit in the inlay of the case - negligible gripe. Very happy all round.

Good compass set but can end up going in circles

I've always enjoyed constructing shapes with a compass. Helix has always been my favourite choice. Sadly I have to keep buying them as they go to school with the kids and for some reason don't always come back.

brilliant set - better than the usual plasticy maths sets... only fault is the attatchments are a pain to change and you risk losing screws and locking wheels... then again its not a rotring or staedtler nor is it the price of them... good for the money

Only loses stars because it took 22 days to get to me! Else a quality product
