Brilliant little tool
Simple and effective. I wish I'd bought one of these years ago. I got it to measure inside gaps of less than 3mm when it starts to become difficult to use calipers.The reading on the scale matches to within about 0.2mm of my electronic calipers at the 2-3mm end of the scale, so I'm happy with that. For my own purposes I would have preferred that taper on this instrument was less and the range changed to maybe 0.5mm - 5mm.The physical length of this instrument between the 0.5mm reading and the 15mm reading is 12cm.Looks like a robust little measurer, made from steel and with the writing and the scales deeply etched. Should last a lifetime.
