Long Throw Gate Lock, 50mm, Double Locking, Stainless Steel, Gate Lock for Wooden Gates, 5 Keys

I first discovered these 12 years ago when I figured that it's a very secure way to lock up my loft, they are also surprisingly easy to install which, to me, makes it a pretty good deal - I buy more expensive locks but I save on installation as these require pretty much one 26mm hole and that's it.They are simple locks and I can see no measurable difference between the much more expensive CAYS of 12 years ago and these... the keys are more simple and you don't get the much more luxurious keyhole cover but for the money saved that's ok.An installation tip would be to drill the 26mm hole first and then figure out the screws in place the drill bit isn't part of the package so it will need to be bought elsewhere.

Bought one which last 18 months. It’s a reasonable product and worked well…till it broke. Couldn’t find a comparable alternative so decided to by a replacement.

Great idea however with in weeks I have rust leaching from the lock and now the screws and possibly the electroplated lock plate are also having rust marks running down them? Poor quality materials and I'm guessing the stainless steel part is the actual bolt part will be Chinese stainless too? I'm also expecting this to start to rust in a matter of months? I would send it back but then I have a bloody hole in my gates? Will have to look for a Branded one and hope for the best.The final insult is that the lock barrel mechanism is failing after just 9 months and will not lats past 12 months.

These are strong powerful locks easy to operate and instal. Well worth the money and suppliedcscrews as long as they go into solid wood base are just fine
