Best decision ever!
I had a PC in my office with similar specs to this, i9-9900K, with same amount of RAM and a RTX 2080Ti. Which was fine but I wanted a gaming laptop and I'd always heard that laptops just weren't the same as desktop PCs when it came to gaming. Well let me tell you this is amazing. I am absolutely blown away this is the best gaming experience I've ever had and I would recommend this laptop to my friends and family. Totally impressed and of course it has an HDMI out so you can run it to a 70 80-in 4K screen and it plays flawlessly it is absolutely wonderful.

Burns up fans, loud, and just awful
DO NOT BUY. I’ve had this laptop for 15 months and it has had issues with 2 GPU fans. I was lucky the first time as it was under warranty but now just a few months after that replacement, Gigabyte wants me to pay for the next fan to go bad. Outside of that, the GPU causes a static popping noise on wireless headsets that use a USB dongle. I had to buy a wired headset just to game when the video card is under heavy loads. Also, this thing is so loud that you can’t hear the speakers under heavy load. Do yourself a favor and look for another laptop.Update: Gigabyte informed me I can’t even buy the replacement fan because they are out of stock. No other options and yet they still sell the laptop. Stay away from Gigabyte.

AMAZING!! except for no DP :(
Great PC only thing I would change is to add a DisplayPort 1.4. only get an HDMI 2.1, but can't complain too much, amazing PC, especially for a laptop!!

Aorus quality
Specs are amazing, and the price is relatively lower comparing to the competitors. It has 4 fans inside, so airflow is really satisfying. 4080 GPU just runs every game with ultra settings.

Fast GPU
The Processor runs twice as fast as the 4090 graphics card.I think that would means that the the laptop should be able to push games for the next 10 years. Laptop runs Battlefield 2042 @ 125 to 175 FPS with full settings. Looks and plays great.5*

High quality product, less bios setting options
Well metal chassis packed with strong gpu. Need more useful features for power saving mode either performance mode, especially on immutable giggabyte control panel UI

Don't Buy It
Both the Gigabyte and Aorus websites for this 2024 model are lacking in current support. The last BIOS update for this machine was in January. Gigabyte is horrible @ support and this machine has several minutes of impactful lag on cold boots & wakes from hibernation. I truly regret buying this machine as the hardware offering is priced right - - but the support from Gigabyte is sorely missing. Don't buy this machine.

AORUS 17X so far so good
This was an O0pen Box/Refurb unit; the tamper seal on the box was peeled away. The listing does not specify Open Box/Refurb. Also does not specify New, so I suppose that's on me?It crashed once (bluescreen) during initial setup, but not yet afterwards. It has performed normal laptop usage such as internet browsing and word processing without any problems. More news on this once I get it running actual games and CAD. Minus one star for the setup crash and non-information on its used condition.
