Okay I'm not a kid. So you say, why a kids book?
I ordered Easy "Recorder Lessons for Kids" because I don't read music and I needed a starting point so I can maybe encourage my very young grandchildren to follow in my footprints. I'm really just trying to get them interested in something musical early. This book was a grand slam. This was a great purchase. The focus is on instruction. It teaches you how to hold properly. Each of the notes, there's online instruction to go along with it. So many songs!!! Something for everyone.(The songs are for a young audience)

I’m going buy another one of these books!!
I got this book for a student.I had no idea I would want one too,but I do! It’s sequential and full of lots of helpful information and recorder songs! The author even gives a link for PDFs as well as for her video and audio tutorials. I’m excited about learning from her one step at a time!Thanks Avgusta Udartseva!This grandma wants to learn a few new tricks from you! It’s never too late to learn something new!! Thank you for including your contact information in the book also!

It’s okay
It wasn’t as easy for the kids to do on their own. The videos weren’t super helpful. We ended up not even using them. I was hoping for something my kids could do on their own and this wasn’t it. As an adult with some musical background I can read it and understand what is being taught

Love it
I absolutely love the fact that you can Scan the QR code and watch the YouTube video from the author for each song. It shows the children, or whomever is learning, what it is supposed to sound like should they not be familiar with the song. it also shows that she herself is not perfect because in one of them she makes mistakes. This is fantastic for children because it lets them know that even those who are teaching us can make mistakes but we must keep going just like the author does!!

Great for beginners!!
I ordered this book and 4 recorders for my kids, I homeschool and this is our first music class!!! This book explains everything extremely well, I'm very impressed by it and I'm happy we got it! It does not come with a recorder, just so you know!!

Very nicely put together
The book is impressive and the songs and lessons are well done. My only concern was that it covered too much too fast for a beginner. We barely worked with quarter and half notes before eighth notes were included. If the authors could adjust songs to fit the simple single beat timing until more notes were learned, it would be helpful.
