Nicely priced & does the job
Was totally unclear what cable I needed to connect my MBP (early 2012) to my new monitor but the comments here really helped. No sound to my monitor but that’s because of the monitor! Image is great and fits the thunderport (or whatever @pple call it!). Does the job and much cheaper than the cable they recommend on the official website.

Seems to be good quality, we use it to plug a small Macbook air into an old TV. Works fine.

Worked well to output Lenovo non-HDMI laptop to monitor. Worked once plugged in, so very happy.

Stopped working like everyone else in reviews!
Stopped working after about 2-3 months of use.Double checked laptop with a spare cable and it worked.Double checked cable with a different monitor and the fault is with the cable.Also noticed while writing this review that multiple others have had the same issue without being able to get a refund. Do not waste your time buying this!!!!
