This works great!OK, works as advertised, suction cups hold really well, and so do the magnets. The magnets are covered in rubber so it will not damage your vehicles paint (if you are careful to correctly place and remove them from the car. If you drag them and there's dirt on your car, well, you're going to scratch it up, but it's your fault, not the device's). This thing was rock solid all the way up to 160mph (private track).BUT! The "but" is not about the device's quality/ability, but rather about an important detail. 3 of our cars have hoods that are not iron/steel, which means if you are planning on getting this to mount on your hood, make sure you test your hood with any magnet you have around the house to make sure you can use this on the hood. Turns out I can't use this on the front quarter panels of one of my cars as it too is not made of steel.I ended up getting PellKing's other setup, the one with the suction cups on both parts.Also be careful. Don't mount these suction cups on your paint and try to test them by pulling on them as hard as you can until they pop off. If they do pop off, it is likely to cause damage to your car, because they REALLY do hold on to the body and if the paint is not up to the job, the suction cups will cause damage. Same if your car is wrapped with PPF or something else. You need to remove these correctly, turn the release button, lift the suction by pulling on the tab on the side or the rubber pad that's in contact with your car, then do the same with the other suction cups, only then lift them off the body of the car. How do I know this? My old truck HAD a bit of a dent on the rear quarter panel. I used this mount's suction cup on it and pulled as hard as I could. The bend is now gone.

It is a good product, it is very resistant, I recommend it.

used this with an insta360 gen 2, was worried about strength of magnets or any potential damage to the car but upon use realized those worries were unfounded.Magnets held on securely and the suction cups just added more support. Left little circles (from dust) after I removed but that wipes off with microfiber cloth easily, no traces. recorded some very cool footage while driving.

I was hesitant getting this product due to lack of reviews, but after getting hand on my own, I figured I should help others looking at this by adding a reviewof my own.This listing is a little misleading, as the product DID NOT come with the selfie stick, but instead includes everything else (one magnet mount, one suction cup mount, and a flexible mounting arm). Build quality is good, and the magnets/suction cups reeeaaaaly clamp to a cars surface without causing damage.I'd recommend this for people with cars who want to film "canyon runs", "road trip time-lapse videos", or "track days". I have personally have tested it with gnarly 1st -> 4th gear pulls, taken it around its fair share of canyon roads, and up to decent highway speeds (85 - 90).If you are looking for something to go over "sports car fast" (ex: speeds exceeding 130), I'd maybe modify the product a little, or look elsewhere to ensure that you don't take my advise, and brake your camera. However, for the price and ignoring the statement about the included selfie stick, this is a great product, and I recommend it for anyone wanting to do any form of automotive/boat/motorcycle filming.

I just got done using this on hundreds of miles of off-road use. For about 40 miles I had it set up as an extended selfie stick hanging over the front of my truck. For the rest of the miles I had the magnetic base holding an action cam on my roof. In both situations this was fantastic and never came loose or moved around. For off-road use that is really saying something. This thing is well made, and is a TANK!! I was pretty skeptical buying it since it only had 9 reviews when I purchased it. I really hope that people discover this product and help the company out - it's a truly amazing product. And no - I don't work for them, I don't get paid to write reviews - I just want great stuff that isn't crap, and this fits the bill.

I just made some tests on my car at average speed and it holds really well. The magnets are super super strong, just be careful to wipe the area before installing, otherwise paint could get really scratched. When removing the magnets, don’t pull them right away. Just move them slowly and they will get off. Totally recommend it!

Bought this to mount my Insta360 camera for racing footage. After a couple test drives I was completely confident that this mount wouldn’t fall off the car during extreme driving.Note: The magnets are VERY strong so make sure to either put tape on the paint or thoroughly clean the area and the mount before mounting!
