YES, WOMEN CAN USE 5% MINOXIDIL - Minoxidil CAN regrow hair loss around temples.
Please don't be fooled into believing you need a minoxidil made for women. You don't. I have been using 5% since December 22. It's fine. Don't be suckered into paying the "pink tax" where they charge more for products marketed for women.ALSO: MINOXIDIL CAN CAUSE INITIAL HAIR FALLOUT. I see reviews that claim minoxidil made their hair loss worse. DO YOUR RESEARCH. This is normal and resolves itself. It accelerates the normal hair growth/fallout cycle. Be patient.Second: I had a pharmacist tell me that hair regrowth products only work on top-of-head hair loss and won't help receding temples. Not true. I had significant hair loss on the temples, and overall thinning related to age/heredity.My hair is back to the thickness it was over ten years ago (I'm 52) and hair has grown back around my temples.I understand that minoxidil may not work for some, but it definitely worked for me. Took about three months to work.

FOR WOMEN : IT WORKS!
I ordered this back in January and used it on and off for a couple of months then recently started using it every day. (Not the amount recommended for a man) And I can tell you honestly, my hair has grown so much within the past month! I am excited to see what it continues to do! I recommend it for sure!

VERY DANGEROUS TOPICAL APPLICATION OF KIRKLAND BRAND OF MINOXIDIL
I just got my Kirkland Minoxidil and within 30 minutes of topical application as directed by the packaging my scalp began to ITCH and then BURN and then TURNED BLOOD RED. It looked as if my hair had caught on fire and burned my scalp. In addition, within 24 hours BOTH GLANDS behind my ears began to SWELL and became extremely painful. Once this happened, I washed all the Kirkland Minoxidil off of my scalp and even after 48 hours, my scalp is essentially RAW and looks as if I had been scalded by boiling water. Once this occurred I AGAIN consulted the directions and saw that ALL OF THESE TERRIBLE SIDE-EFFECTS were LISTED in the attached instructional brochure. It listed ALL OF THESE SIDE EFFECTS and advised NOT TO USE THE MINOXIDIL if ANY of these symptoms became apparent. REALLY ? REALLY ? This stuff is DANGEROUS and needs to be REMOVED FROM THE MARKET. In Addition, I am researching to see if there are any CLASS ACTON LAWSUITS against Kirkland for their name brand of MINOXIDIL. I CAUTION others NOT TO USE THIS PRODUCT. It is BY FAR the worst product experience I have ever had. HORRIBLE ! ! ! Will likely need to consult both my PHYSICIAN and then my ATTORNEY for consultation and redress.
