The TOOLSBAT 15W 5 SPEED ETCHING & ENGRAVING TOOL - METAL ENGRAVER WITH 4 TUNGSTEN CARBIDE STEEL BITS & 2 STENCILS is a pretty basic, handheld engraving tool. It works well if you have a steady hand.I use it mostly for marking tools, and it works very well for that. It is such a big improvement over the engraver I used for years. There's nothing like having a brand new sharp bit to engrave with, and this comes with three extras. My old one was variable speed but this one actually has five settings, which are more than I actually need.I think the price on this is excellent and the quality on this makes this a good deal for the price.As expected, it is extremely loud and you need to wear eye protection. It helps if you can put the item you are engraving, in a vice to hold it steady. You will need to do that if you're going to use the stencils.I'm happy with this. If you don't need anything too fancy, this is perfect for basic engraving.

This is a review for “ TOOLSBAT Engraver 15W Engraving Tool - Metal Engraver with 4 Tungsten Carbide Steel Bits”+ 3 STARS:You can trust the product description is accurate. It works exactly as expected. I’ve tried it on wood and glass and it worked great! I will definitely have to practice keeping a steady hand. But it is easy to hold, it’s not too heavy or awkward in my hand.-2 STARS:It is LOUD. This is the first engraver I’ve ever had experience with. So maybe it’s normal for them to be this loud? I’m not sure. But it’s incredible loud! Earplugs are included for a reason.At first I thought that it came with 4 different bits. But I’m pretty sure all of the bits are exactly the same though. I wish it would have came with different types of bits for different uses or different effects. If the bits were all different I would have given this 4/5 stars.I’d say this engraver isn’t too bad for a beginner.

I recently purchased a hand-held engraver, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations! This versatile tool has become an essential part of my DIY projects and personalized gift-making endeavors.The first thing that impressed me is its ergonomic design. The engraver fits perfectly in my hand, allowing for comfortable extended use without any strain. Although the instructions indicate that use should not exceed 10 minutes at a time without allowing the tool to cool. Nonetheless, the rubberized grip ensures a secure hold, even during intricate engraving tasks.The precision and control provided by this engraver are fairly good for its size and cost. Its variable speed settings allow me to adjust the engraving depth to achieve a level of detail on various materials, from metal to wood and even glass. I was able to engrave intricate patterns, names, and designs that turned out quite good.The package comes with a variety of tips suitable for different applications, making it a versatile tool for a wide range of projects. I could switch between tips effortlessly, loosening only one set screw for removal. This added to the overall convenience of using the engraver.The noise level is not bad, and it seems it would be a bit less disruptive to work on projects in a quiet environment. However, I’m not usually in a quiet environment, nor do I need one to focus on my work.The only minor downside I noticed is that it can get a bit warm with prolonged use, but this is expected for a powerful tool like this. The manual says to only use the tool for 10 minutes and then allow it to cool.Overall, the price is fair, and I would recommend this hand-held engraver to intermediate DIY enthusiasts, crafters, and hobbyists.
