Works when the soil is right
This works really well when the soil conditions are just right - too wet and it does clump in the nozzles. There is a tool provided for cleaning nozzles. Seems well made - robust, easy to assemble. Good value considering the price of alternative options.

Tools supplied to put together. Seams quite strong. Had a little go of it and works fine . After 2 or 3 goes the plugs from the lawn comes up and is collected in the tray. I will do the all of the lawn at the weekend,that will be the proper test. Finished the lawn at weekend, didn't take long. Pleased

Great for creating holes in the lawn
This is a sturdy aerator that is easy to use and very effective. It’s good to collect the soil plugs in the holder as we were able to let them dry out before putting back as a topsoil.

Great for Manual Hollow Tine Aeration
Absolutely great little tool for Manual Hollow Tine Aeration. I always try pick up a new hobby each year, seems to be gardening this year so after various research & checking through the lists on here and reviews I settled on this.Its great & sturdy/effective. It does take a whole lot lot longer than the Petrol machine but it’s something you only need to do once/twice a year but schedule a good few hours if you are to do correctly.I do recommend however having a box/bucket next to you and work in a section for tipping the little mud aeration packs into. Makes light work because this fills rather quickly.So far the lawn is absorbing water better and the ground feels firmer under foot. Won’t really see the difference to the lawn until I’ve scarified/over-seeded/soiled and the middle of next year.Can’t fault for the money & would recommend to anyone.

Rubbish in clay soil!
Useless if used in thick clay.The tines clog up immediately requiring constant unclogging.Guess it'll be fine in decent sandy loam soils.

Does the job.
Easy enough to assemble and had a quick run up and down garden and it does as it says. Only time will tell if it's effective or not. Could a bit of a messy job but that's all part and parcel of gardening.

Clogs instantly
Arrived bent and misaligned. Easy to put together though which is good. Unfortunately clogged instantly and due to large surface area doesn’t pull out properly and leaves craters in the lawn. Returned as not fit for purpose.
