Works a dream with my Action 4 camera - much easier to connect to camera than the old GoPro equivalent, which was a nightmare trying to link when away from the home.

I have found this GPS remote good for using on my motorbike as I can strap it securely to the handlebars using the shorter of the two straps provided. It lets you stop and start recording without having to fumble with the camera which is good if it’s on a helmet where you can't see it and shows recording time etc. which is useful.I bought it because I liked the idea of being able to record my route along side the video so I can see where I have been on a map but the only way to access the GPS data is through the DJI Mimo apps dashboard and that is very limited. You can add some basic overlays to show speed and direction to the video but only a tiny wiggly green line represents the route you have taken which is frankly a bit useless. I have tried researching how I can export a gpx file of the videos route and that has taken me down a rabbit hole of trying Exiftool and a trial of Telemetry software but none of these seem to work due to the way the GPS data is encoded into the video. I am hoping DJI will add this functionality.

Does what it says it will, but button are a bit clumsy and slow to respond. GPS data is far inferior to Garmin data and the design is a bit basic. Also at time of writing DJI does not record gps dat on photos.

Great device for the DJI Osmo 5

I used the device for a total of 40 minutes. 20 minutes at home for testing and then after 20 minutes on an aeroplane it switched off. it never switched on again. Shame

I didn’t think this would be as good as it is, completely changes what you can do with the videos…. Amazing
