If the seller says it's where resistant then it must be as I've not been in the rain with it but the material is very nice and thick so ot most probably is. It's very light weight and the zippers are great quality and belt stays in place. It's easy to either carry on your shoulder or wrap around your waist. I wish there were more colors.
