Going back to Mao's Big Rock Candy Mountain
Battery ordered to replace a Lenovo OEM battery from a late 2019 laptop (cheapie). Laptop is used in my shop for instructional video, parts ordering, and music now then.The old battery was abused to say the least. Run dead 100's of times after a full charge. Down to about 60% life and it is randomly shutting off. So it was time for a new battery. Off to amazon.The battery I ordered, a direct replacement for L18C4PF3 is very sketchy. I run linux as my OS on all laptops in the house. This battery, while it ran the laptop out of the box. is not recognized by the system as a battery. So the OS is not able to monitor the battery and gracefully shutdown the system when the power gets low. Plus it doesn't understand performance modes that change between power source. Seems like a burn down the house via the garage risk.These must be seconds from the semi-competent fake OEM battery manufacturers on Amazon.Title compliments of youtube's aVe.

Good battery, slight misses on screw holes and locator pins
Nice solid battery, connector matches Dell XPS 15 9570However, the scres holes don't all line up and the locator pins don't all line up.I had to modify the locator pin hole near the center of the laptop for it to fitI also had to enlarge a couple of screw holes.Minor adjustments, but once done it fits.I ordered this shorter battery so I could add a second SSD to my XPS 15 9570

The same as OEM
Cheap battery, right?Don't know how many D620s are still out there, but I got quite a surprise.I run Linux, and when I ran a system diagnostic, it listed the battery a "Samsung".It installed without issue, same as the factory original, charged quickly and fit as good as OEM..For $21, how can you go wrong?

Seems worth the Money so far...
Great battery so far... Received in just a few days. It IS NOT OEM. But a like product. Even the one from Dell was made in China. You won't see a physical difference except the Dell logo missing. A little challenge to change though due to the connector ribbon. It's fragile. Mine pulls up and then back to remove. The included phillips screwdriver worked like a charm. Total time to change about 5 minutes.READ the Instructions! You'll want to do the deep discharge about 3 or 4 times prior to regular usage. No problem. I just worked with the laptop until I got the "warning...7 minutes left". You won't want to go any further as you could incur battery damage.Only time will tell if this battery is worth the money. I should write a follow up at about 1 year and again at 2 years...assuming...
