Adjustment knobs
The only thing I don’t really like is there is no fine, adjusting knob, nor is there any side to side knob. Otherwise, it’s a great product for the price

Great choice for kids 5+
I tried a couple of kid's microscopes and was very disappointed with the quality. I bought this for my 5-year-old grandson. He loves it. If you; 've never used a microscope before, look online about how to set up the lenses because the instructions are not great. Other than that, it's excellent quality with a sturdy metal body, quality lenses, glass slides, and a great protective case. This will last him all through high school.

Poorly Built!
The media could not be loaded. Do not purchase! This product is extremely poorly constructed. The microscope I received had scratches and scuff marks, a permanent scratch or hair in one of the eyepieces, it wobbled on a flat surface, and scratches on the dome of the LED light. It stands on small legs that don’t have anti-slide grips. The slide holder also gets stuck on the side of the stage. Just pay a little extra and get a more reputable brand.

It's an OK beginner set
I haven't had a microscope in a long time, and I guess they don't make em like they used to?The good: it comes in a foam compartment soft carrying case, excellent to keep it safe when not in use.The light options are great, with both a top light shining down on the subject, and an underside, shining up through slides and translucent items. The light has a dimmer knob to avoid blinding yourself. I don't have need of the color filters, but it changes the color of the light on your sample. It comes with a box of samples, and two more of empty slides and mounting squares so you can make your own. The first thing I did was look at the fibers of a piece of tissue wrapping paper that came in the carrying case. The platform can be moved in a variety of ways while examining objects, and gives you pretty fine control. The bad:The instructions, are kind of awful. They reference parts that do not exist, and the diagrams are incomplete. The thing that actually is annoying is that the eyepieces do not secure in the microscope. You just drop them in the tube where they sit loosely. You're constantly trying to hold them still while looking through them and focusing. The worst of these is the phone mount, which in turn flops loosely on the loose eyepiece. My old one had eye pieces that screwed in securely.I feel like I could use a third hand to hold all the loose parts from moving around.

Surprising
For the price, I cannot complain. In fact, far from it as my first slide viewed through this microscope was observing a rotifer. Magnification distortion seems fairly minimal (around endges) and there was one spec on the larger magnification lense. Its likely a flake or chip, but for the work I do, its fine. I wont even dock it a star just for that, considering the price, and the fact that it comes with slides, covers, even pipette and swabs. Very good deal.
