Fantastic for the price and size!

This is a very early review - i expect to update it. The device is a bit larger and thicker than the FLIR C2 that I've used previously. The resolution is better on this device than the FLIR, it updates the screen more often, the display is clear and crisp. So far, it seems like a solid device that I hope to use a few times weekly in HVAC work for years. If you've never used a thermal cam in HVAC, they really save a pile of time and is very helpful in troubleshooting electrical and refrigeration issues, testing radiant floors, and even calibrating temp sensors.

Very high quality camera. I feel you get more than what you pay for, especially if you get it on sale. My only beef with it is the top buttons. They are perfectly flush so it's hard to feel for them and the camera button is so sensitive I am constantly accidentally taking pictures with it. It has some functionality outdoors, but anything more than 20 yards away will just be a blur. You can tell somehings there moving around but that's all the info you'll get.

I should have had one of these when I was shopping for homes. I'm a total novice when it comes to thermal cameras and researched them for days. I eventually decided to pull the trigger on the PocketC because the balance of features and price seemed right for me. I like that I don't have to have a phone, special app or any additional software to use this. I can hook it up to my PC and transfer photos and video for later viewing easily. I'm a bit old school and don't like to rely on proprietary software and apps that require cloud accounts and all that non-sense just to use a device.The device comes in a nice sturdy rubbery protective shell with a wrist strap for extra security. Mine also came with an excellent hard-shell case that fits the device perfectly even though it was not mentioned in the description.The image is clear and easy to understand even for a novice. It does take a second to adjust the sensor once in a while, but it hasn't really been an issue for me. I've played around with all of the features, they all seem to do what they advertise to do. For the most part I just turn it on and point it at what I'm trying to inspect. It helped me locate some areas that are lacking insulation and some suspected water damage inside a shower wall. I haven't had the device for long but so far I'm very satisfied with it.

The media could not be loaded. I am unable to access settings to connect my camera to the phone app. All that shows up is a bluetooth menu that doesn't allow me to connect to my phone. My Flir C5 didn't give me this issue and I am thoroughly disappointed to not be a ble to transfer the pictures I take to my phone while I am out in the field.

The camera is fine, but I cannot transfer pictures or use any other functions when I click on them. Nothing happens.
