Cold Therapy Device Review
Product went out on me after only using it a few times. I have tried to reach the company to see if they can warranty it out for me since I've had it less than a year but so far I am disappointed no response from REATHLETE LLC.******UPDATE they reached out to me with amazing customer service and are sending me a new machine. Great Company!!

Takes a couple uses to figure out the best way to use.
Great product for the price. Been using it for a little over a year and had no issues with any parts leaking. Most Complaints are user error. It only gets as cold as the water you use. I like to put the bag in my garage freezer for a few hours to get a layer of ice then break it and drop the pump in. Pad is a little awkward to get in the right spot but ive learned that flipping it "upside down" works great to get the front of your knee and running tube behind your neck positions it perfectly for elbow use.

Great for my knees!
I had one knee replaced, and I still need the other replaced so I can use it for both. It does get shockingly cold, and it does help relieve the pain, but it would be a much better functioning unit if stayed on longer. I see it working for me for a very long time! Instead of using ice, I make ice in water bottles and recycle them when needed. That way I don't have to constantly empty water.

Product was used.
At a glance, it appeared that I had made a good choice. It wasn’t until searching for instructions and warranty information that water came out of the machine. It had apparently been returned without indication that it had been used.

Ice machine with timer to promote healing
A friend recommended getting an ice machine to help my husband heal after a complete ankle replacement surgery. I had never heard of such a device until a friend recommended we use one. The ice machine does away with melting ice dripping all over and soaking a patient. The icing promotes healing by stimulating blood circulation, washing away any bad stuff from the wound and reducing swelling. We've used it 2x a day on his leg after surgery about three weeks ago. The timer is a great help. I buy a big bag of ice that lasts for a week's worth of icing applications. The ice itself is poured into a canvas 'tub' into which I set the machine's pump. A sturdy 'hose' attached to a multi-use ice 'pad' pumps the icy water to it. We wrap a soft cloth around his leg so the pad itself, wrapped around his leg and secured with velcro, doesn't touch his skin, and he's in control of the timer. We were told that there likely would be seeping from the wound, but there's been none! I think the ice machine is the reason. It also helps discourage blot clots in his leg that he is not to walk on/put any pressure for 6 weeks. The icing keeps his blood circulating in that leg that he cannot exercise until his doctor's team gives him permission. Price was quite reasonable and we'll have this icing device for future use if we need it again.

not worth the money
does not get as cold as a regular ice pack. Cummerson and hard to wrap around small frame. Thick tubes that do no bend well. the bag is a joke. Charged $131.00, when returned only got a refund of $110.00, where is the the other $21.00. You have to put in a box to return, can not tape up box it came in, have to have a new box, which is hard to find. I d not recommend this product not worth the trouble , or the money.

Leaks
Leaking like a seive. Worst part, cannot return because it's past it's window & my knee surgery was yesterday & it leaks on the bandage when properly used. Bummer. Wouldn't recommend

high performance for athletes
I have it on as I type this. First off, it. Really is as quiet as they say. It runs in sort of a pulse pattern, and gives light compression on the cuff during the pulse. Hoses are good quality, the connectors are super easy to use. The pad is a little odd at first, and isn’t the most intuitive thing to use, but it can be conformed to most joints with a little bit of adjusting. It is very comfortable and covers a big area. The ice bucket is clever; it’s like a rubber camp bucket but with a drawstring flap. This keeps any splashing from the pump to a minimum, and keeps the pump in the water. I would have liked it to be a little heavier rubber, so it would freestand just a bit better- but no spills have occurred yet! It’s much better that those janky coolers with pumps glued into them.Even the power cord is well designed, with plugs that snap together so it doesn’t get water in them or come apart while you’re immobile. The 3 mode controller works great, and the 30 minute timer is the perfect cycle. On level 3, it’s moving a serious amount of ice water. I almost wished I had kept a very thin layer (like athletic tights or something) on before the cuff, it’s that cold! This is the one to get if you want something worthy of serious athletic recovery or injury/surgery rehab.
