Cutest Fully Functional TV on the Planet Bare None!
Amazingly tiny TV!Works well in a 100% Apple environment with the application able to take iPhone videos, convert those videos and install them as new "channels" using my Apple Mac.This is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen with the functional remote control smaller than a USB thumb drive! The video and audio are surprisingly good. I went with a retro-theme and spent some time in front of Me-TV shooting the opening credits and a minute or two of some old shows.

So Wonderful!
As many people have stated, its not a particularly useful item... but my goodness is it cute and makes me smile every time I see it. It also allows me to have background noise that I don't risk getting sucked into and distracted from my work (because the screen is small and the speaker is just ok - though for the size, it is amazing quality). I took a bunch of shorts (such as the baby groot shorts, pixar shorts, old looney tunes episodes, etc.) and spliced them together into longer videos so that I could have more realistic "channels" on it. I now have a Baby Groot channel, a Looney Tunes channel and a Pixar shorts channel that loop through episodes. Its awesome! Nostalgic, comfy and really brightens up my desk. If you are thinking of gifting this to anyone (or just to yourself), I highly recommend it! The controller is such a cute touch too, and the dial knobs are really satisfying to use. I also love the clear casing as I like to see the techy components. If you are on the fence, hop off and get this one because it is soooo adorable.

A gorgeous miniaturized TV
I recently purchased the TinyTV 2 as a gift and decided to add a personal touch by doing some paintwork and loading a few videos. This customization enhanced the already charming, miniature design of the TinyTV 2, which cleverly mimics the style of old-fashioned TV boxes in a functional, scaled-down version. While it's not a traditional TV since it plays preloaded videos, the capability to watch videos with sound on such a tiny device is quite remarkable. The video and color display quality of the TinyTV 2 is notably impressive. Even with a small internal speaker, the sound output is decent and sufficiently clear for its compact size. When it comes to pricing, the TinyTV 2 leans towards the higher side, particularly if you consider the cost of individual components like the screen and the RP2040 microcontroller. But what you're paying for is not just the parts but the entire design and experience of a miniaturized TV.Tinycircuits has developed an app for video conversion that performs admirably. It handled all the video formats I tried and offered enough options for final tweaks. However, there are some limitations. The app is available only for Windows and Mac, which posed a slight inconvenience for me as a Linux user. Although it runs acceptably via Wine, a dedicated Linux version or at least a command-line interface tool would be a significant improvement. The app appears to be a front for FFmpeg, yet this is only briefly mentioned in the forums. Clearer documentation or guidance from Tinycircuits on using FFmpeg directly for video conversion would be beneficial. For enthusiasts of miniaturized gadgets, the TinyTV 2 is undoubtedly a delightful discovery. Originally bought as a gift, its charm and functionality have left me seriously considering getting one for personal use.

Really neat.
This was a very neat little device. Connects and charges through USB-C. I had no problem connecting it to an M2 mac. You need to download a video converter from their website, which seems to be a gui front end to ffmpeg. Very easy to use. I do a lot of video transcoding, so I was a little surprised to see it uses motion-JPEG as a video format, but it uses little cpu power to decode. You can probably fit something like 10 hours of video. There is a text control file that you can edit that controls which file is mapped to what channel number. I loaded mine with shows from 1967 (like Star Trek). You can easily tell what they are, even on such a tiny screen. It comes with example videos pre-loaded (a fireplace, the ocean, etc).

Easy to operate, clumsy to manage
It does what it advertises, video is surprisingly clear, audio is too, and controls seem sturdy and responsive. Aesthetically, it is pretty cool looking. No complaints on the usage side. From a setup / management perspective though, it's a little clunky. The USB-C port on the back seems a little fragile, I recommend being gentle when you connect or disconnect the cable. It also has to be a USB to USB-C capable of charging + file transfer, not just any USB-C cable will work. All videos have to be .avi format. The free converter is very clumsy, can only do 1 video at a time, and basically guesses at the output size. It is fairly quick though, and serves its single function well.File transfer speed is also very slow with every cable I have, ~720kbps, so it takes forever to load the standard 8Gig card with videos. After it's all said and done, it's pretty cool. Just a bit of a pain to get set up though.

Amazing
This tinytv is for my daughter and she loves it so much! Works just like it says and worth every penny. The sound and picture quality is great and not what I expected for this little thing. It’s legit like a tiny tv. Although I haven’t tried yet, I love that you can save your own videos on it. The knobs really work for channels and volume. Easy to use and very cool!!

Very cool, adorable, so much fun!
I got this for my husband for Christmas but I had to give it to him a month early because I was too excited and knew he’d love it! He’s having a lot of fun with it and discovering all its capabilities. He’s a big tech guy with many computer and tv screens of various sizes from various eras, so I thought it would be really funny and enjoyable for him to have a tiny retro-looking screen that can play whatever he wants. It was the perfect gift, and it shipped really quickly! It arrived way sooner than expected. Great toy! It’s a little pricey, but totally worth the money for the perfect gift for my guy.
