NIU KQi2 Pro Electric Scooter, Portable Scooter 25 Miles Range, 15.4 MPH Max Speed (Renewed)

I'm over the weight limit and still get 17MPH and 15-mile range. Turn off the E-save to achieve the higher speeds. We got 2 of these and one had an issue, so we sent it back. Currently waiting for the replacement. Fortunately, we already had an e-bike, so we can still ride together. The app is not great, except to lock the scooter. I prefer just using my phone for navigation. A standard bike handlebar phone holder fits beside the throttle.

This scooter was listed as "refurbished...to be fully functional " - IT WAS NOT. I expected there might be blemishes and minor dings but what arrived was defective. As soon as we got it out of the package we noticed the stem lock had a deep crack that circumscribed almost half of the lock on one side. This was not only not functional but also dangerous. It is hard to see how this was not noticed when refurbished. The gasket at the base of the stem was loose and cracked completely through providing no seal to the electronic compartment. Additionally, the sloping area of the deck below the stem was distorted to the point that the plate underneath the slop could not be properly fit and protruded about 3/4 of an inch along one side. It had simply been jammed in as far as they could get it. At this point it was clear that the scooter needed to be returned so we did not inspect the rest of it, we simply started to repack it for return. While a free shipping label was provided for this we were required to haul the repacked item to a UPS store. The size precludes simply putting it into a car and we will be required to find some way to transport it. So this whole purchase has been an expensive, inconvenient big disappointment. I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your scooter and save yourself the frustration.

This scooter is amazing. You can’t even tell it is refurbished and the quality is great. There is an app where you can customize your scooter and track your rides. It has features like cruise control and you can customize how fast or slow it goes and how the brakes react. Definitely recommend.

However, its build quality suggests an impressive durability—it feels like it could withstand a lot without breaking. For those who prioritize reliability over speed and can manage its size, this scooter could be an excellent choice.

I may update my review if NIU unbinds this scooter from previous owner. As it stands this scooter is essentially a very heavy paperweight. You'd think part of the renewal process would be making sure it could be paired with the new owner. NOPE! Not only is mine paired to someone else it's locked and will not move. Can't review the actual product because I can't use it.
